the rain
pitter-patters
against the cool glass
a gentle frost forms
and fogs up the view
the bell
goes off
all over the halls
murmurs seep through the doors
and crawl outside the school
the weather
matches my mood
underneath my skin
melancholy surrounds the atmosphere
and fills up my lungs
the water
drops quickly and slowly
on top of my head
a puddle forms around my shoes
and soaks my socks
i
take out my umbrella
in front of me
a shelter envelops me
but only temporarily
you
hold the umbrella's handle
beside me
although it is much too small for two
we continue walking
under the rain
side by side
without you even saying
you wanted to share
you just do
