Lexis POV:
"Your dad is unbelievable." I simply say. Kylie and I are laying on my bed listening to music. She told me what happened yesterday after I dropped her off and I must be honest, I never expected Mr Ross (Ky's dad) to do such a thing.
"Yeah well it's a part of life."she says quietly. I change the topic because I don't like seeing Kylie so sad.
"What are you wearing tomorrow??" I ask as I turn my head to look at her. "I don't know. Jeans , a shirt? Something along those lines." She says without any interest.
"Kylie Anne Ross!" I shout sounding just like her mom.
"You sound like my mom before she gives me a lecture." She says while laughing. I smile and sit up. "Seriously though Ky, what are you wearing tomorrow? You need to make an awesome first impression." I give her a look so she knows I'm being serious.
"Okay let's make a deal. I'll let you pick out my outfit as long as we go to school together?" I wink at her.
"I wouldn't have it any other way ."
*2 hours later*
Kylie left half an hour ago and was going to text me after she took a shower. I went downstairs to find Trish in the kitchen baking something. So I should probably explain who she is and why she is here on a Sunday night. Well my parents work a lot and never have time for me. So they throw money at me and Trish takes care of me. She and Kylie's mom are basically the only mother-figures in my life.
"Hey, Trish." She looks up and smiles at me.
"Hey sweetie. So I have great news for you!" She pauses but soon continues when I don't say anything." Your parents are coming home tomorrow!" I faked a smile and acted excited but on the inside I was groaning. Whenever my parents are around they try and control everything but don't spend any time with me. I should be used to it but it hurts to know that my mom would rather be in a boardroom somewhere barking orders at people than spend time with me.
I left Trish to her baking and went to my room. I pick my phone up from my bed and unlock it and see a text from Kylie.
K: So excited 4 2moro!
L: Me 2. My prnts cmng home 2moro!
I turn off my phone without waiting for her reply. I lay in bed in total silence until I fall asleep. I can't wait for tomorrow. I'm so nervous but at the same time excited.
Just a filler chapter.
Tomorrow is D-Day!!!
I can't wait to write chapter 5&6.
