Do you know what I hate more than my incapability to lie? Trafic.
I thought visiting Dr. Roberts would be a quick detour, but I've been in the same place for the past 35 minutes. It was only supposed to take a quick 5 minutes to get there, but here I am. Bored out of my mind, I decide to play some music.
Switching on the radio, a familiar pop song comes on. It's Cake By the Ocean by DNCE. I have to admit, it's not my favorite, but it's really catchy.
Humming along, I bob my head along to the music. And then I start to sing along softly. After a few moments, I'm jamming out to the music and doing a little dance in my car seat. If anyone saw me, they would probably think I was having a seizure.
When the guitar part comes up near the end of the song, I pretend to play on an imaginary guitar. Taking my sunglasses down from my glove compartment, I put them on and start doing a bunch of different dance moves. Literally screaming out with the main vocalist, I start to do the sprinkler when I'm interrupted by my phone ringing. Quickly shutting off the radio and placing my sunglasses on top of my head, I compose myself and then answer.
"Nice dance moves," I hear Kota say from the line.
"Wh-what! How did you know I was dancing!!" I ask him frantically with disbelief.
"There's cameras in your car sweetie," I hear him reply.
I immediately look up at my mirror and see the little camera embedded into it, filming me right now.
"Ugh! I'm so embarrassed!" I exclaim while covering my face and hitting my head against the steering wheel.
As soon as my head connects with it, I jump up immediately because of the loud honking noise that's sounded.
"Oh my gosh!" I cover my face and look at the surrounding cars around me. Everyone was looking at me like I was crazy since I was literally honking at nothing.
Turning bright red, I slump lower in my seat.
"Can this day get any more embarrassing?"
Apparently it can, because as soon as I said those words, I heard loud laughing coming from my phone.
"Oh my gosh, Kota! How many of you guys saw my little situation?" I ask him, already knowing the answer.
"All of us, all of us, Sang," he says between laughs.
"Oh no!" I say, taking a piece of paper and covering the camera. I should've done that a long time ago.
"Remember to take you to a dancing club, Trouble!" I hear Gabe say between laughs.
"Count me in!" Luke says.
"There is no fucking way you are taking Sang Baby to a club, idiots!" I hear North bellow. The sound of him hitting the two of them on the back of the head made me wince at how that must've hurt.
"Ouch!" they both yell out in pain.
"Don't listen to them baby. You're never going to a club until you're 18," North says.
"Don't worry, North. I'll never go to a club behind your back," I say while picking up my phone and texting Luke and Gabe about possibly going next Saturday.
"Baby, what did you just text to Gabe and Luke?" North asks as soon as the two of them burst out laughing.
Come on guys! Why do you have to blow my cover!
"I didn't text anything. How do you even text someone while talking to someone on a phone?" I ask as innocently as possible. They all knew how bad I was at using phones.
