I'll Remember

I look around the room nervously.

As I scan the room, I see 9 pairs of eyes staring back at me.

Chuckling nervously, I raise my finger up to pinch my lip.

But before I can do that, a boy next to me with reddish/brown hair captures my hand and intertwines his fingers with mine. This gesture is so familiar, I just can't remember why.

And why is it that as soon as he held my hand, I felt butterflies in my stomach? Am I dating him?

Staring at his face, I try to remember who he is and how I know, no knew him.

I'm brought out of my staring with a cough. Focusing back on the other boys, I blush because I was caught ogling.

"Sang, you probably don't remember who we are so let's start with introductions. I'm Sean," the sandy blonde male says.

"I'm Nathan," the person I was just caught ogling said.

"I'm Victor."

"I'm Kota."

"I'm North."

"I'm Silas."

"I'm Luke."

"I'm Owen."

"And finally, I'm the fucking fantastic Gabriel."

"And I'm sorry, but I forgot all your names already," I tell them shamefully.

Was the green eyed boy Nathan? Was the guy in black Luke? And last of all, why were all these boys so good looking? It's literally humanly impossible to be in a room with 9 men who were built and looked like models.

Oh my hormones.

"It's great to know that you still think we're good looking, Sang," Luke, no Silas, no Owen no- I GIVE UP! The guy in black said.

Blushing red, I fully process their words and cover my face in my hands. Of course I had to speak my thoughts out loud.

Peeking through my fingers, I see all the boys struggling not to laugh.

"It's fine, you guys can laugh," I say defeatedly.

As soon as I said those words, they all burst out into chuckles.

And I instantly realised how they looked so much better than they did when I first saw them. They looked like a spark had lit up in them and they were now truly happy. Did I do that?

Probably not. I can't fix everyone.

But I hope I can fix them.

They don't deserve to be as broken as I am. Speaking of me, where is my family?

"Guys, where is my family?" I ask them.

That cuts off their laughing. Oops.

"Your family isn't here. Your step-mother died from cancer, your sister lives somewhere across the world, and your father has another family. We're your new family," Owen....I think....said.

"But I'm pretty sure we're not blood-related. I don't remember having any cousins," I say.

Plus if they were my cousins, it'll be really weird if I thought they were attractive.

"Family is choice," the green-eyed boy, Kota I think, said.

"Family first, Academy second," I say immediately.

The boys looked shocked.

"Sang, you remembered something," Nathan said.

I did? I DID!!!
