"Daddy!! Marie!! Let's go to the park!"

"Sang, let me sleep please," Marie said.

"Oh, go with her Marie. Spend some time with you sister," mother said.

"But mom....."

"No buts or else," mom said teasingly.

"Or else what?"

"Or else this!" Mom shouted and then started to tickle Marie.

"Hey! Let me join!" I say and then jump on them.

"Fi- fine fine! I'll go," Marie said between giggles.

"Nice job mommy!" I say and give her a high five.

She ignores my high five and instead pulls me into a hug with her.

"Anything for my little daughter!"

"Mom, what's wrong?" I ask my newly shaken mom.

"Nothing, Sang. Ju-just stay away," she tells me weakly while stepping away from me.

"Are you sure mom?" I say and take a few steps closer to her.

"Stay away!" she yells and then brings up her hands to block me from her view.

"Mom...." I whisper.

"I-I'm sorry," she says and the runs back into her room.

"It's all your fault Marie is hurt! If it wasn't because of you she wouldn't be in bandages right now!" mother yells.

"N-no it wasn't. She tripped over the fallen tree trunk," I try explaining to her.

"Stop lying you whore!" She says and then slaps me in the face.

Bringing up my hand to my face, I look up at her in shock. That's the first time she's ever hit me.

Instead of looking sorry, she instead has a shocked joyful look on her face. It's like she realized something new that made her happy.

"Mother..." I whisper.

Her joyful look disappears and she looks at me in disgust.

"Go to your room and don't come out," she says viciously.

Walking to my room, I have one thought passing through my head.

What happened to my mom?
