The easiest and fastest types of puns to make are those that have a play on words. There are certain words you can use in cat puns. For example, there's "mew", "meow", "fur", "purr", "paw", "tail", and even the word "cat" itself! You can also use other words, like "yarn", "nya", or "whisker". Possibly "fish", depending on the situation.
The trick is to figure out which words you're going to use in the dialogue, and see if any part of any of those words sounds similar to the words I listed above. If they do, then follow these steps:
1. Delete the letters you don't want.
"This looks like a real predicament, my lady."
predicament --> pdicament
2. Insert the pun word.
pdicament --> purrdicament
3. Read the sentence again, either out loud or in your head, and see if it fits.
"This looks like a real purrdicament, my lady."
4. Cringe or smile at your meowgnificent work (...or whichever happens first).
