To be absolutely honest, this Louis guy is actually very cute. I don't know what it is about him but I just like it. As I'm walking out the school, I see Perrie looking around for me. I get her attention and wave to her.

"Zayn! I knew you would make it!" She smiles and claps her hands together.

"Yeah, you needed me?" She nods and reaches in her bag to grab a slip of paper.

"If this is about the Maths homework, I didn't get it, either."

"No, silly. I wanted to know If you were free on Friday? Like for a date?" She smiles up at me then that bad feeling washes over me. The bad feeling that tells you that you should do it but something stronger is telling you not to. I mean, she's a beautiful girl and all but I just got here a couple of days ago! And Louis didn't seem too keen that I was meeting her by the flag pole today.

"So? What do you say?" She looks at me with pleading eyes, making my heart break a bit.

"Sure. I'll pick you up at 7." She squeals and pulls me in for a hug.

"Great!" She gives me a quick peck on the cheek then hands me the slip of paper.

"I'll catch you later, Zayn."

"Bye, Perrie." After she leaves, I take another look at the slip of paper. I wonder how Louis will take this. It's not like it will affect him in anyway, he's just a friend and friends don't care about dates.

"Hey, Zayn." I turn around and see Louis walking down the steps of the school. I tuck the slip of paper into my back pocket and smile back at him.

"Hey, Lou. What's new?" I smile a little at my rhyme and wait for a response.

"The sky, and the birds. What did Perrie want you for?" He quickly changes the subject and looks at me suspiciously.

"You were watching me weren't you?"

"Well no, I was just looking and- yeah." He blushes a little and kicks at a rock.

"Well, if you must know. I have a date this Friday with Perrie." I nudge at him with a smile but he doesn't respond. He doesn't seem happy at all.

-Louis

That bitch! She's a monster! I bet he doesn't even know she-

"Louis!" Zayn was snapping his fingers in front of my face.

"Huh? What?"

"I said we have arrived."

"Oh." We walk up to the door and I unlock it with my key. I open it and see Aunt Nicola rocking Niall softly in her arms.

"Hi, Aunt Nicola."

"Hello, Louis and friend." Zayn waves shyly at Aunt Nicola.

"Hello." I set my bag down and walk towards her.

"Thank you so much for watching him."

"It was no problem but are you sure you don't want me to stay? Niall can be a real handful sometimes."

"No, I think I've got it."

"Alright. Well, call me if you need me."

"Will do." She smiles then grabs her things.

"Make good decisions!" She waves then shuts the door behind her. I look at the clock then back at Niall, wondering what I should do next. Harry will be home in less than five minutes probably wanting attention so I better put Niall in his crib and get ready for Harry's arrival.

-Zayn
Louis goes upstairs with Niall, leaving me in the living room alone. Louis' front door flies open and in comes a loud, curly headed boy who looks like he's ten.

"Louis! Look what I dre- who in the blue power ranger are you?" He stares at me with confusion written all over his face.

"I'm Zayn! I'm your brother's friend and your family's next door neighbour." I smiled wide and bright for him, hoping that he would leave me alone but he takes a seat next to me on the couch.

"Why do you have so many tattoos?"

"They show the things that I can't explain in words."

"Why do you have so many piercings?"

"I think they make me look quite attractive."

"Did you know due to infections that may occur after a piercing, almost 1% of those who perform a piercing require hospital admission?"

"No, I didn't know that."

"Well, now you know."

"You're pretty smart for your age."

"And how old do you think I am?"

"Ten?" Louis comes downstairs and smiles at his brother.

"Louis, get rid of him." He gets up from the couch and walks up to Louis.

"Be nice, Harry."

"What did I do?"

"Louis, he said I'm ten!" Louis looks at me then back at Harry.

"How was I supposed to know? I just met you!"

"I'm thirteen!" He turns back to Louis. How was I supposed to know the kid was thirteen!

"How was your day? Did Nick mess with you again?" He looked at his brother with concern.

"He didn't do much but call me a bad word then spit in my eye." His brother makes it sound like it was a prize to get this type of treatment.

"Okay, I'll make sure to tell Dad. Go do your homework." Louis pats his head and lets him go upstairs. Louis sighs and sits beside me on the couch.

"I'm sorry about all of this."

"You're fine."

"Okay, good." We sit in silence for a bit.

"We're alone now." I smile to myself as he drinks out of the cup from the coffee table.
