I pace back and forth trying to catch my breath from all that crying. I know I'm just being paranoid, Cal would never want to hurt me. Right? I co-

"Luke?" Mr. Payne steps out and smiles softly.

"I'm sorry. I just needed to take a break. Maybe catch a little air! Niall is fine and Harry is with Ashton." I try to smile it off but Mr. Payne doesn't seem to be buying it.

"Louis already told me what happened." I stop pacing and look up at him.

"I must sound stupid."

"Not really." He sits on the lawn chair with a laugh.

"I don't?"

"No, you're just worried."

"What if he is cheating on me?"

"Just tell him how you feel."

"How?"

"Just tell him your thoughts and work it out from there."

"That seems to work well in my head. Thank you so much!" I turn to walk out but he calls out my name again.

"Yes?"

"Now that I sort of helped you, could you maybe help me with something?"

"It depends what it is." I bite my lip nervously as he stands up.

"Sir? How is this supposed to help you figure out if you like a guy or not?" Luke pulls at the blonde curls on his wig.

"We went over what you're going to say. Keep the chip in your ear at all times."

"Harry, can you hear me?" I talk through the walkie-talkie waiting for his response.

"Roger that Dad."

"Okay, I'll be by the bush. You can hear me through the ear piece right?"

"Yeah. But where did you get all this stuff?"

"Places. Enough with the questions! Go sneak through the window!"

"Isn't that against the law?"

"No. Well I don't think it is."

"I'll just ring the doorbell."

"Fine do it the easy way." Luke walks up to the door and rings the doorbell.

"Hi! Would you like some door to door therapy?" Hayden gives Luke a weird look but shrugs and lets him in.

"Score!"

"So, why are you going door to door giving people therapy?"

"Wel-"

"Girl voice!" Liam screams into my earpiece making me groan in pain.

"Everything all right?" Liam's weird obsession sits next to me on the couch with a worried expression plastered on his face. I clear my throat and smile.

"No, I'm fine. Enough with my feelings tell me about yours."

"Well, I really like this girl named, um, Lila but he- no! She ruined my marriage with my now ex-wife, Sophia."

"Do you still love Sophia?"

"Hell, no! She said she only married me so she could have a father for her daughter."

"So you want to be with Liam?"

"Yes, more than anything. Wait, how did you know about Liam? I said it was a girl named Lila."

"I don't know?" I start to get up from the couch.

"Sophia must have sent you to spy on me!"

"Luke, get out of there!" I head towards the door in a hurry.

"You aren't a therapist!" I open the door and run towards my house screaming "Abort Mission." I slam the door and breathe heavily trying to catch my breath.

"Luke?"

"Hi, Calum." He raises his eyebrow in confusion.

"Babe, what are you wearing?"

"I-I It's a new look."

"Really?" He pulls out a cookie from my wig, the one Liam's neighbor threw at me.

"I wanted to make a good impression." Calum grabs my hip pulling me closer to him.

"I missed you today." I push him away from me and sigh.

"What?"

"I need to know and I need to know now. Are you cheating on me?"

"What? No. Why would you think that?"

"Because you came home late smelling like perfume. What's up with that?"

"I was out late because I was talking with my Mum. I needed her advice about surprising you for our date tomorrow night. Well, now you know."

"A surprise date? For me?"

"Yes, I would never want to hurt you Lukey." He steps up to me again.

"I'm sorry for accusing you of cheating."

"How could I be mad at you? Come here." He leans in and slowly kisses my lips.

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. Luke? Is that you in a dress? And a wig?" We pull away and look at Michael.

"Is this like a new kink or something?" Calum and I both give each other the same look and proceed to flick him off.

Hayden runs out of his house, chasing Luke down the street. I jump out of the bush and stop him.

"What's going on? Everything okay?" He looks up at me and calms down.

"Liam. I'm so glad to see you! Sophia sent one of her clones to spy on me!"

"She didn't!" I fake gasp while Hayden nods.

"Yeah, but I'm glad you're here to protect me." He puts his head in my neck, hugging me closer.

"Liam?"

"Yeah?"

"Could we try again? Like maybe go on another date? I'm sorry about Sophia."

"It's okay and yes, we can." He looks up at me and squeals in excitement.

"This is great!" He waves and walks back inside. I walk back home with the same grin on my face.

This could be the start of something new.
