Chapter 28

"You like Perrie Edwards?" I yell out, making a few people look our way. Her eyes go wide and she puts her hand over my mouth.

"Don't go preaching it to the world!" She puts her hand down.

"Yes, I do like Perrie. But it's obvious that she likes Zayn."

"Do you realise how long Perrie has liked you? She even told Zayn on their little date that she had feelings for you." Jade smiles and jumps up and down.

"She does?"

"Yeah and I'm pretty sure she's using Zayn just to make you jealous. I guess she's being seeing you hanging out with Sam."

"But Sam and I are just friends." I shrug.

"Perrie doesn't know that." Jade sighs and looks around. I see the tears welling up in her eyes.

"Oh, Jade. Don't cry. I'll see what I can do." I walk over to Perrie. She closes her locker and gives me a surprised look.

"Can I ask you something?"

"If this is about kissing Zayn, he grabbed me! I don't know what's going on with him."

"Yeah, neither do I- That's not the reason why I came over here!"

"It isn't?"

"What ever happened to you liking Jade?" Perrie looks down and plays with her fingers with a soft sigh.

"She'll never like me." I set my hand on her shoulder with a smile.

"I'm pretty sure she likes you." She looks back up at me.

"How would you know that?"

"Let's just say we're really good friends. Just talk to her and see what she'll say." Perrie nods and then the bell rings.

"I'll catch you later!" I wave to her and rush back over to Jade.

"So what did she say?" Jade looks at me excitedly.

"She thinks that you don't like her. But she said she would talk to you." Jade jumps up and down again.

"I gotta get to class but I'll snatch you up again to give you all the juicy gossip!" She scampers off to class, leaving me alone in the hallway.

I continue to read my book until someone's hands cover my eyes.

"Guess who?" I bite my lip and get excited.

"Is it you, Josh?" I giggle when I hear Nick huff out. I turn around and smile.

"Nick, I know it's you." I pull him in for a hug as he laughs.

"For a second there, I thought you were serious." I pull away from his grip and look up at him.

"How could I choose that jerk over you?" He smiles and looks into my eyes.

"That compliment deserves a good morning kiss." He leans in and kisses my lips. He grabs my hand then we walk back over to the bench.

"You should sleep over! Wouldn't it be fun?" He gives me a worried look and starts to look around.

"I don't know." I pout at him.

"Please? I can ask my Dad!" Nick finally gives in and nods.

"Only if your Dad says yes." I roll my eyes.

"Fine." I squeal in excitement

"I really hope he says yes!"

"No." I stomp my foot and whine.

"But why?"

"Louis told me about this one Nick guy that made fun of you." I shake my head.

"That's a different Nick. This one is a really good friend."

"Harry, you're not a good liar."

"Please, Daddy? He doesn't bully me anymore! We are really close now."

"How do you know he's not just playing with you?"

"Dad, I'm not stupid. I know he's not messing with me." Daddy sighs then throws his hands up.

"Fine, he can come over."

"Really?"

"Yes, but no funny business. One wrong move and that boy is toast."

"Oh, thank you, Dad!"

"Did she say anything?" Jade walks over to me with a smile.

"Yeah. We're going to see a movie later."

"That's great! I'm so happy for you!"

"If it wasn't for you talking some sense into her then I'd still be in the friendzone." Perrie walks up to us and gives me a small wave.

"Shall we be going?"

"Yeah." Jade looks back over to me with a smile.

"Hey, I'll catch you later. Bye, Louis." They walk away hand in hand. I lean against the tree trunk with a sigh.

I'm all alone again...
