Chapter 35

-Louis

We're in our last class and I still haven't seen Zayn. This is worrying me sick. I need to see him. After class ends, I walk out to the courtyard and wait for Luke. I see him standing by the tree with some guy. After a while, the guy kisses him then waves goodbye. Luke walks over to me with red cheeks and a big grin on his face.

"Hey, Luke."

"Hi, Louis!" How is he going to act like nothing just happened like let's get real.

"Don't act like I didn't see you kissing that guy." Luke shakes his head and smiles at the ground.

"Oh, that's Calum."

"Is he your boyfriend?" We start walking home.

"Well, no. He's in a band with me and we live together. I'm just confused."

"Confused about what? Your sexuality?"

"No, I know that I'm bi. But I'm just confused, I don't know if Calum feels the same way I feel about him. I don't want him to think that it's just a joke."

"I'm pretty sure if you talk to him, he'll understand."

"I hope you're right. So, what are you gonna do about Zayn?" I shrug as we walk to his house.

"I'm gonna see what's going on."

"Wait! Don't you think I should go?"

"Why?"

"Because Zayn is obviously upset that he hurt you so maybe you should let me talk to him."

"Are you sure?"

"Trust me." Luke nods and walks up to the door and knocks.

I knock on the door and a young girl opens the door.

"Hi! Who are you?"

"Is Zayn here?" She frowns and opens the door to let me in.

"He's kind of upset so be careful with what you say. He's upstairs, first door on your left." I thank her and walk upstairs. I knock on the door and hear nothing.

"Zayn? It's me, Luke? Luke from school?" He doesn't answer so I just open the door and see Zayn sitting in the corner, staring off into space.

"Zayn?" He turns around and I see a tear run down his face.

"Luke?" He gets up and wipes his eyes.

"Louis and I are worried about you. You okay?"

"Not really. I punched my boyfriend in the face."

"Well, that was Javadd. Javadd punched Louis not you. So don't beat yourself up over something you feel you didn't do. Even though you did. Does that make any sense?" Zayn chuckles a little.

"Yeah. He does know I'm sorry right?"

"I think so, I mean you can talk him. He's right outsid-"

"He's here?"

"Yeah. Outsi-" Zayn pushes past me and runs downstairs, I quickly follow behind as he rubs out the door to Louis.

"Louis!" He quickly turns around and Zayn quickly kisses him. It's kind of awkward being a third wheel. Zayn pulls away and hugs Louis again.

"I'm so sorry baby. I just, I can't control them. It's hard, please don't leave me."

"I wasn't going to." He leans in and kisses him again. Zayn smiles and grabs Louis' hand and they leave to their own little world. I guess it would be a good time to talk to Calum? I quickly jog to my house and walk in.

"Hey!" I see Michael sitting on the couch just channel surfing.

"Hey, is Calum here?" He nods.

"He should be. Check his room." I walk to his room an knock on the door.

"Come in." I open the door and see Calum putting his bass back on the rack.

"Hey." I sit on his bed and he comes back over and pecks my lips. I look down with confusion.

"Something wrong?"

"I'm just confused." He grabs my hand and holds it then looks into my eyes.

"Confused about what?" I sigh and stand up.

"I'm confused about us. What are we? You kiss me like we're together but treat me like a friend." Calum stands up to and grabs my hand again.

"I was thinking we could give this a shot? I mean I really like you and I hope you like me back? Will you be my boyfriend?"

"No." Calum's smile drops and he looks really upset.

"I'm just kidding. Yes, I will be your boyfriend." I giggle and kiss him again. He lets go of my hand and they wrap around my waist. I put my hands into his soft hair which move to around his neck after a while. I pull away and smile at him, I rest my forehead onto his and he smiles too.

"Are you two done because I'm hungry." We both look towards the door to see Ashton standing in the doorway.

"I'll be there in a minute." He shrugs and walks away. I turn back over to Calum.

"You're not going out there are you?" I wrap my arms back around his neck and shake my head.

"Nope." I smile and he leans in to kiss me again. I rather spend time with my boyfriend rather than my brother.

Louis and I continue to walk slowly down the sidewalk, holding hands.

"So, you know how we've almost been together for a while now?" He puts his head on my shoulder.

"Yeah, and?"

"I think we should, I don't know. Take it to the next level?" I stop walking and Louis looks up to me.

"What do you mean by that?" Louis looks down and swallows hard. He looks back up to me and breathes.

"I want you to take my virginity."
