Chapter 9

It had been about two weeks since the party. Everything got back into its normal grove and I continued my frequent routine of going to school, coming home, going to school, coming home, going to school, coming home. My life went back to complete boringness. Well it wasn't that boring because I had Justin. He always found ways to make my life way more interesting that it normally would be.

"Hey babe." I heard some call over my shoulder as I felt warm hands snake around my waist.

After placing the remainder of books into my locker, I smiled and turned around to face my tall, handsome boyfriend. "Hello."

"How has your day been?" he asked, still holding on to my waist.

"Umm other my classes boring me half to death, I would say that my day has been quite fine. What about yours?"

"Well it's definitely better now that it's lunch time and I can see my baby." He smiled and pulled me into a kiss.

My day had gotten better too now that he was here. I don't see him all day and the only time I do is during the short 30 minutes we have for lunch. One of the main reasons that I never see him is that he is in a whole different grade. At first it did feel weird dating someone a grade lower than me but I had to remember that he was in fact older than me. He failed his grade and I still wasn't sure why. He was honestly a really smart kid. It was probably because he didn't apply himself as much as he should.

"So you wanna head down to the cafeteria?" He asked, pulling out his phone and checking the messages.

"Yea let me just put this up." I threw my binder into my locker and shut it. I then took his hand and we started making our way towards the lunch room.

When we walked through the double doors, I looked around for Sarah. I smiled when I found her sitting at our usual table. Her face was practically buried in her phone and she was smiling widely. Odd.

"Who are you texting?" I asked as I sat down across form her and Justin took his place by my side.

"What?" she asked, not even looking up. "Oh, umm....Chad." She still continued staring at her phone.

Chad was the guy Sarah had met at the thanksgiving party. They hit it off really well and were now dating. He didn't go to our school though, so the only way she could be with him was to stay glued to her phone.

"Soooo, how has your day been?" I asked her across the table.

At first she didn't acknowledge my question but when she finally did, her answer was "Yes."

I exchanged looks with Justin and we both busted out laughing.

"Ugh sorry guys, we were just talking about this really funny story. I'll put the phone down now. What was your question?" She said as she finally looked up at me.

"It's okay." I chuckled. "I said, how has your day been?"

She was about to reply but all of a sudden her phone vibrated on the table. She hesitated and nervously looked at me. I could tell that she really wanted to pick it up and check the message.

I started laughing and gave her the go ahead. "It's okay, talk to your boyfriend!"

"Thank you!" She squealed and picked the phone up.

I watched her as her face lit up and she started laughing at whatever the message said. I loved seeing her happy. It made me really happy.

"Hey, how about we skip this last class and head over to my place." Justin said, smirking.
