"No," I said laughing. Me and Gerard were in the car heading to the school and he kept changing my CDs.
We finished training right before it was 1:30, the time we had to go so we can get to the school on time. During the whole training were joking around, but he caught on pretty quick, not that training takes that long if your an artist. All I had to do is to show him what machines do what and he was set to go. After that we just talked and I really felt close to him and my headache subsided.
"C'mon, I like that song!" I wined. He was skimming freely through the tracks on my Black Flag CD.
"I like it too..." He said and turned to smile at me. That smile, it was always on his face, along with those glowing jade eyes. A piece of his short red hair hung over his eye. His tiny white teeth shiny.
"Then why do you keep changing the tracks?" I asked, my voice suddenly lowering from my loud tone to a soft, sweet one.
My tone change made his smile fade a little, but he turned back to the road and shrug, "To piss you off."
I laughed.
"What?"
This time I shrugged at him, "I don't know- your just funny."
He did a soft "oh" and turned to look through the passenger window.
The music filled some of the silence that hung in the air, but it was weird. Gerard was so lively and loved to talk and this was odd. Even though I've only known him for, like, two days, you just know he's one of those people that love to talk and be around people. I don't understand why he only does this around me. He's okay with Ray, with Patrick, with everyone! Why does he do this to me? We were getting along fine a minute ago!
My headache came back. This fuckin' sucks.

We got to the school seven minutes later. Gerard just listened to the music and tapped his foot along, occasionally humming the melody. He confused me...
We were walking up the stairs to the school when I stopped. I had to call my mom. I had to tell her that Katy was going to stay with me at the shop for now on. She was probably going to be mad since I didn't really go visit her anymore since I first opened the shop and Brook was still here. She was still here. We were still a family...
Gerard turned to face me, "What's wrong?"
"It's just- I gotta, call my mom... I'll meet you, um, inside."
He nodded and walked in. I pulled my phone out and dialed her number, somewhat dreading every number I pushed. I waited a while, hearing the rings, when my moms voice filled the ringing.
"Hey, Frankie. What's going on?"
I could tell she was confused that I was calling her right now.
"Nothing. I just wanted to tell you that I'm taking KJ to work with me today... And maybe for more than today."
"What? Why are you taking her? What did I do?"
I sighed, "Ma, you didn't do anything. It's just that I have a new guy at work and he has to take care of his nephew after school. Since the nephew is in the same class as Katy I said that the guys nephew can play with her at work. I just thought they can just play together, y'know? Plus, the guy is really cool, and I offered."
I moved to the side of the doorway so i wasn't blocking it for parents.
She let out a sigh. "Frank, do you like this guy?"
"W-well, I mean, um, he's- He's, kinda cute... But I don't. I don't know..."
I could hear her let out a laugh. I was a stuttering mess and it totally gave away that I liked him. My mom had always been supportive of me and didn't judge me for liking guys, even though my dad wasn't too thrilled about it. I came out to them when I was 17 and now I'm 25, but he still didn't like the idea of me liking guys. When I proposed to Brooklyn and it was probably the happiest day of his life aside from his own wedding and having me. Then we found out we were having Katy and we postponed the wedding. Then... She was gone and everything was over.
