When I got my stitches last night, they had given me some painkiller that made me really drowsy, I almost couldn't change for bed. Uncle Clark had to carry me up the stairs, he put me down in my bed and tried to tuck me in. "No, wait," I had said as if I were drunk. "I still gotta, uhh...gotta change."

"You can change in the morning, right now you need to sleep. Those sedatives they gave you are starting to take full effect. Also, quiet down, you don't want to wake Alfred, do you?" He hissed.

I just ignored him, stood up and stumbled to my dresser. I opened my pj drawer and grabbed the set on top, luckily it was my Green Arrow pj's with a built-on hood, so I had something to cover the stitches in the morning.

I woke up a few hours later in the morning, again to Alfred knocking on my door, "Miss Mary, it is time to get up."

"No-o," I moaned. "It's time to stop waking me up at eight."

He chuckled, "You know how much time you have before you have to get out of bed."

"Yessir!" I jokingly saluted while still lying in bed.

Once I finally got myself moving there was no stopping me, I was suddenly energetic. I ran out of my room, slid down the banister, and dashed into the kitchen.

"Here is your breakfast, Miss Mary," Alfred said as I slid to a stop in front of the food bar.

"No thanks, Alfred. You can give it to Uncle Clark or something, I'll just get some cereal."

"Are you sure, Miss?"

"Yeah," I said quickly trying to get out of Alfred's sight, despite the hood, I was nervous he could tell I was hiding something. I grabbed a bowl and a box of cereal and started rushing around so I could eat fast and avoid the butler all day. Alfred watched me scurry around.

"Miss Mary?" He asked.

"Yeah!" I chirped.

"Is everything alright?"

"Uh...yeah, it's just, uh, I...promised, Derrick that I'd come to his wrestling match today!" I said, "He...texted me saying they start in an hour! So, I gotta go fast!" I started running around even faster after he nodded in understanding.

"Miss Marry, I believe you are wearing the wrong hero's symbol."

"What do you mean?" I asked looking at my pj's, nothing seemed wrong with them.

"Well, from what I understand, The Flash, is the hero with Superspeed, not Green Arrow."

I gave him a small smile, "Oh, Alfie," I joked, knowing he hates me calling him, 'Alfie'. "Always the jokes with you," I said faking a British accent.

I ran around the counter to him and gave his aged and fragile cheek a quick kiss and I was headed for the door when Alfred said, "...and, Miss Mary."

"Yeah?" I asked turning back around, but not moving closer to him.

"I'd suggest keeping your hair away from those stitches, if you don't want them infected." He said not looking up from cleaning the counter. In complete shock I inched out of the room.

How could, Uncle Clark, have told him? He promised! I thought to myself feeling so betrayed.

I stomped up the stairs and marched straight to Uncle Clark's room. I barged in, slammed the door, and looked around, he wasn't there. "Uncle Clark?" I questioned out loud. It looked as if he was never there, the bed was made and there was nothing that indicated that the man was here. I turned to the door confused and was about to leave when I saw the note attached to the door, I pulled it off and read it:
