I was crawling through the air ducts in the Art Museum. I had seen people in here with my binoculars x-ray setting. I saw them stuffing stone and jewel figurines into duffels, so I jumped to the roof and I've been trying to find them.

I would've found them by now if I would concentrate, but I couldn't, I was wondering what Lian meant...
______
I walked in the front door of  the manor and -for the first time in awhile- I gently closed the door.

"Hey Red," I blankly greeted Lian.

"Sup," she responded, she was smiling like an idiot.

I took notice of the weird grin and asked, "Whaaat?"

"Nothin'," she said in a little kid way.

Lying.

"Are you sure?" I said with the intention of a slight challenge.

"Yeah," she said standing up. "My dad called earlier, I gotta head home."

"Oh, okay..." I said not bothering to hide my disappointment. "See you another time...I guess."

She put me in a headlock then gave me a noogie. I laughed despite my disappointment.

"Don't worry Mare," she said. "I'll be back before you know it, especially with all the secrets."
~~~
"Just cram it in!" I heard someone grunt, pulling me back to reality. "We got enough room."
I peered through the small slits in the duct grate. I saw four men each with a hockey mask.
Old fashioned much?
They walked out of view and I removed the grate. I quietly dropped to the floor. I didn't want to damage anything, so instead of breaking my secrecy and delivering a cocky Batgirl line, I grabbed four Bola Ropes and threw them. The men were tied up in an instant, one yelped in fear.
"Shut up, Jonny!" Three of the men grouched at the yelper, whom was whimpering.
I walked to the Jonny guy and grabbed the duffel.
"PLEASE DON'T HURT US!" He shouted, fear clear in his voice.
I bent down and pulled off his mask, he didn't resist. His eyes were clenched and he had tears running down rosey cheeks, he couldn't have been older than nineteen.
"Don't worry," I said. "I've done my job."
I stood up and threw the duffel on my shoulder, "Just sit tight morons and Jonny, the cops will be here once I get everything where it should be."
I went around the museum putting the figurines were they belong. I put the last one on its pedestal, it was a diamond shaped like -none other than- a bat. I was about to put the glass covering on, when I heard footsteps behind me. I looked over my shoulder, I thought I caught something out of the corner of my eye, so I turned.
I walked to the arch that I heard the footsteps from, I was ready to fight if I needed to. I was about to peak into the hall when I heard a voice behind me.
"A present for moi! You shouldn't have!" The -extremely annoying- voice rang out with mocking excitement. I knew that voice, it was high, but obviously a man's.
I closed my eyes, lowered my head a little, and sighed the name, "Huh, Ragdoll..."
Ragdoll is one of the most annoying villians to fight.
