"Very funny," I growled.

He laughed, "I know. I'm a card!"

Fed up, I grabbed his shoulder, threw him on the floor, and jumped on top of him.

"Ow!" He yelped. "Easy! There's still a knife in my back!"

I looked at him questioningly then looked down, between my middle finger and my ring finger, was the throwing knife, that I jammed into his back out of fear.

I gently wrapped my fingers around the blade, gripped it slightly tighter, and quickly yanked it out of his back.

"Ouch."

"Sorry," I grunted throwing the knife aside.

He looked at the knife when it clattered with some other stuff.

"Oh," he said. "You pulled that out?"

"Yeah?" I said. "Didn't you just say 'ow'?

"When you jumped on me and knocked the knife I said 'ow'," he explained.

"Then who sa-AH!"

I shrieked when someone grabbed my shoulders and forced me off the hero. I landed flat on my back.

I heard Nightwing whimper, I lifted my head and saw why.

David was now standing on Nightwing pulling his arm and twisting his wrist .

"David!" I yelped, "Stop! You're hurting him!"

David didn't listen, the sixteen year old moved his foot to the back of Nightwing's head.

"Why is he here?" David demanded.

"He wanted to talk to me," I said glancing at Nightwing.

"Why?" David asked pressing his foot down harder on Nightwing's head.

"Because," I said. "Uh...actually, I don't think we established that." I looked at Nightwing, "Did we?"

He grunted, "Technically, no."

"What did you wanna talk about?" I asked.

"Dinner plans," he laughed, and yelped when David kicked his side. "I was kidding, kid!"

David growled, "I'm from Crime Alley! I'm not afraid to hurt you!"

"Yeah," Nightwing grunted. "I know Crime Alley kids. My brother was one."

I cocked an eyebrow at him, "Wouldn't that make you a Crime Alley kid, too?"

"Yeah...long story," Nightwing said. "Okay, kid. Will you please get off of me?"

David looked at me as if looking for approval. I shrugged, unsure. He groaned, grabbed Nightwing's collar, and yanked the man to his feet, still holding Nightwing's arm behind his back.

Nightwing looked over his shoulder at David, "Can I talk to Batgirl alone?"

"No," David said blankly.

I glanced between Nightwing and David.

"It's fine David," I sighed. "I'll be okay."

"No," David growled. "He wants to talk to you, he has to talk to me."

I closed my eyes, "David just let us talk."

"Hey!" Nightwing snapped. "What are you doing?"

I opened my eyes and saw Nightwing handcuffed to the table leg.
