Just Another Day On The Job

All forensic tech Barry Allen asked for was a normal day. Just one. Just an average day where he woke up, showed up at work late, went to a crime scene, collected a bunch of evidence, brought it back to his lab and analyzed it, caught the criminal, and then went home. No meta-humans. No need to be The Flash. Nothing out of the ordinary.
And he almost got his wish.
Almost.

The day started out fairly normal. He woke up late and had to scramble and use his superspeed to get himself ready and to the station on time. When he walked in, Joe greeted him with a handshake and a hug (with a pat on the back and a chiding for being late) and told him they were heading out to a crime scene. So Barry grabbed his bag and followed Joe out to the scene. It was a murder. When they arrived, there was a body lying on the sidewalk in a pool of blood, eyes still open. It was a Hispanic man, not much older than Barry. Joe walked over and began talking,
"This is Alberto Alverez. Big time dealer. Known on the streets as Double A. According to the coroner, he's been dead just a couple hours, putting time of death some time in the early morning. He said it was a simple through and through gunshot to the heart. Death would've been almost instantaneous. He didn't suffer long. We need to find a bullet or a shell casing to determine what kind of weapon was used."
"Okay." Barry said, taking in everything. "This looks like a hit. Was this guy affiliated with a gang?" He lifted up the sleeves of the victim's shirt, looking for any well known gang tattoos.
"Not that we know of." Joe said. "We'll do a more extensive background check when we get back to the station. And I'll tell the coroner to look for tattoos."
Barry nodded then went to work looking for anything that could lead them to what type of gun the killer used or to the killer themselves. He searched for a while, but came up empty. He turned to Joe and sighed.
"I can't find a bullet or a casing. No fingerprints either. The killer cleaned up after themselves and probably wore gloves." Joe nodded.
"That definitely points to this being a professional. This is bad. I'll relay the news to the Captain. Stay with the body." Barry nodded and stood, looking down at the body. It was because he was so lost in looking for evidence that he never saw her coming. The thief.

A/N: sorry for so short, hope you like it!
