Cisco typed and typed as he looked up the ICE number on the dog tag. "I think I've got something!" He yelled out suddenly, grinning at his findings.
"What is it? Who does that number belong to?" Barry said, rushing over to the computer.
"The phone number belongs to a Lexie Vernay."
"Who's she? Is she related to that 'Rose' girl?" Barry was getting a little impatient; now that he had a name, they had to find the girl.
Cisco typed a bit more. "Looks like she's Rose's mom."
"What's her address?" Barry asked, quickly.
"1462 Dalton Dr." Cisco said. With a gust of air, Barry was gone, leaving scattered papers everywhere. "Dang it, Barry!" Cisco groaned as he looked at the mess that Barry left.
Barry sped off, looking for the address that Cisco had given him. When he found the house it was in the suburbs of Central City. It was a stereotypical suburban house; decorated front porch, painted shutters, perfectly mowed grass and a beautiful garden.
He knew he stood out, standing in the middle of the street in his Flash suit, looking around.
He felt a bit awkward; he had gotten to the house but he didn't know what to do next. So he did what anyone did would do; he walked up to the door and knocked. He heard a dog start barking. It sounded like a big dog. He felt a hint of fear creep over him as he listened to the angry barking. He almost didn't want the door to open."Get down, Zoey!" Someone yelled from inside the house. The barking stopped, but a low, angry growl replaced it.
Next thing he knew the door was swinging open.
Standing in front of him was a woman. She had short blonde hair, blue eyes, and was looking at him like he was crazy. Before he even got the chance to get a word out, the woman was talking.
"It's not Halloween." The woman said, slightly annoyed. "And even if it was, aren't you a little old to be playing dress up?" Sarcasm dripped from her words as she looked him up and down, taking in his suit. "Well, can I help you, or are you just going to stand there all day and annoy my dog?"
Barry just blinked, confused as of what to say. This woman obviously didn't know who he was.
"Ma'am?" He made sure to vibrate his vocal chords as he spoke. "Don't you know who I am?" He was a little offended that this woman didn't know who he was; he was The Flash, everyone knew that.
"No. Should I?" The woman answered, sounding even more annoyed. Her voice shook him from his thoughts. He looked at her and gestured to his suit. "I don't know you. 3" she began to slowly inch the door closed. "2" She moved the door again. She never got to one; Barry realized what she was doing and quickly jumped in to answer her.
"Are you Lexie Vernay?" He asked.
"Yes. Now, if that's all, please get off my lawn." When Barry didn't move, she just shook her head. "Zoey!" She called in a sing-song tone. The loud, angry barking resumed, answering her.
Barry took that as his cue to leave. He scrambled to his feet and started to run back to the lab. He knew he had to get away from that house. Fast.Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Vernay. He thought to himself as he looked over his shoulder too see an enormous dog running around the lawn, barking.
Lovely family you've got there, Rose. Just lovely.
When Barry got back to the lab, he was seething with anger; he had all the information he needed to find the girl, he just had no way to get to her.
"What are you all bad moody about?" Cisco asked as Barry paced around, jaw clenched and eyes blazing with fury. "Didn't you get back the stuff from the girl?" Barry shot Cisco a glare. "I'll take that as a no." Cisco ducked his head down, slightly terrified by the look in Barry's eyes.
