There's just no reason why we shouldn't call him "Big B". He is the actual "Big Boss of Bollywood". He has made it "Big in Bollywood" and he is basically the one who makes what bollywood is all about.
The movies that he has given us shows us why he has made so big in bollywood. Movies like Satte Pe Satta, Amar Akbar Anthony where he shares screen space with so many actors still makes his presence known shows that he has outdone others. Movies like Sholay, Bhoothnath, Cheeni kum just go on furtger showing that he can adjust well in just any genre you give him be it-drama, romace, comedy, emotional family love, action etc. Just name it and I am pretty sure he has atleast done one movie in that genre.
Now he comes again with yet another blockbuster - PINK.
Basically, it should be shown in all schools, colleges, private classes, tuitions, coporate offices-be it private sector or public sector offices. Basically it should be shown to just everyone and lets not restrict it to only India because the problems stated in the movie are not just the problems faced by women in India;its basically everywhere we are treated the sameand thoughts relating to our species is the same.
The movie is about 3 girls trying to live an independent, successful and a normal working life. But due to some incidents and circumstances their lives go haywire.
Well the points raised in the movie are the most important things in the movie apart from the excellent acting.
When a girl says no to something that just means she is not willing to do it or rather is still in two minds about it and is still not sure about things. So that's when the other person should understand a 'NO' means a simple, big 'NO'. And it just is not about a girl, its basically for each and every individual.
Then judging the way girls dress in public, the way they behave, the way they talk and coming to assumptions that they are into you and you can just force yourself on her is bullshit.
Just because we smile and laugh with boys that doesn't mean we have started liking you, or for that matter fallen into your trap. It's like if we have a good news still we are not supposed to smile.
Ohh right, we are girls, we are supposed to be crying, not enjoying are lives and live in a nutshell, not talk to people. If you think, whatever I said above is what is right, you really need a medical treatment and I would love to fund the treatment if you don't have enough money. Girls are social beings too; not being friendly, not talking laughing will make us go crazy. In a few days you see us running or walking down the lane like lunatics.Coming late from work, or wearing skirts or western formals to work make us look available to anyone around. Well isn't giving priority to work and our careers a good thing. And when it comes to our clothes, it's basically our choice on what we want to wear, like its the men in India who make choice of wearing their favourite 'chaddi' along with a hideous vest on Goa beaches.
There's more to it, in the movie the guys want to take revenge from girls just because the girls hit the guys in the way of self defence. This hurts the ego of the boys and they want revenge. Infact the person was not even there at the scene is the most interested one in getting a revenge which just shows how much of free time people have along with a rubbish mind filled with crap and hatred for the other gender. And this guy basically manipulates everyone and motivates and leads them to take a revenge. It just shows how weak the boys were that they let him brainwash them and become their leader and they follow his crappy ideas. It's the best example to show ego can cease your thinking power.
This movie further shows the loop holes in our police dept. When the girls go to file a case in the police station, the policer officer warns them, asks them to think about the problems they will face after, the consequences of the act just because the case is to be filed against the nephew of a MLA. Then the police officer calls his senior to ask if he should file the case, where his senior declines and cuts the line. Just to file a case she has to use her connections. I mean it was just filing a case, and during that itself she went through so many issues, so it just shows how severe and commonly practiced this issue is. And this what we all Indians can relate to because we have all once come across this line- "tujhe pata nahi hai mera baap kaun hai." Or "tujhe pata hai mera baap kaun hai?"
So basically laughing and being frank with males, touching them in a friendly manner, agreeing to party with them, going behind a closed door may it be for any purpose gives them a validation to molest us. This is all what is wrong with our society. And all this basically sums up to the single word -- "MENTALITY of the people."
