Chapter 20

I blinked as I sat in the library, reading a book. The constant ticking of the clock soothes my mind.

Haruhi sat across from me while reading a textbook and scribbling down notes.

He suddenly flicks my hand and smiles at me. Blushing I turn my head away in embarrassment.

"Tch. Idiot, don't do embarrassing things like that." I say. Haruhi smiles at me from behind his book.

"You're so weird." He laughs and hits my arm. I wince and shy away, as if a reflex, he only looks at me in confusion.

"S-sorry, its just a reaction. I don't have the best home life" I say and blush. Turning my head from him I glare at my book with a blush.

He stares before hugging me from across the table, my face melts and I smile at Haruhi.

A wounded soul searches for warmth.

"Indeed, Hitachiin-Sama is Ouran's ace!!" The commentator stated as the crowd cheered.

"The one that just made a shot, is that Hikaru or Kaoru?" A fangirl asked one of her friends.

"It doesn't matter! Their both so wonderful" The girl gushed.

"Kaoru, here's a towel" A girl offered to the twin that subbed off.

"...I'm Hikaru" The subbed off twin, Hikaru states and the girl flushes.

"I'm so s-sorry!" She apologises, embarrassed.

Hikaru turns away, unfazed. "It's alright, I'm used to it."

The whistle blows after a loud bang is heard.

"Kaoru!" The coach yells. "Get him on a stretcher immediately! Bring him to the nurses office!

"Kaoru..!"Hikaru yells and sprints over to his brother.

"Hikaru! You can't go with him. Get back to the game!" The coach yells in a hurry. "Hikaru hurry-"

"SHUT UP!" Hikaru cuts of the coach, not caring about anything other than his brother.

"Hikaru..." Kaoru whispers and touches Hikaru's face. "Calm down, you can't feel my pain.

Okay? You're not the one injured."

"Kaoru.." Hikaru whispers as if he were in pain. "Can't...... it hurts...."

"It hurts Kaoru."

Your pain is my pain. It doesn't matter even if no one understands us.

We can live as long as we have each other.

"I envy you...." Tamaki says as he looks on from the rain with a pained expression. "You have support from one another."

Water drips.

"Suou-senpai.." The twins whisper from within each other's embrace. "But Suou-senpai is the institute's idol."

"Idol... huh?" Tamaki murmurs with a faraway look in his eyes. "I'd prefer to be alone.

Than to be praised only for my appearance."

Injured hearts cross each other....
