Balthazar popped into the hotel room that Castiel resided in. The Angel didn't sleep of course, so he was up and sitting on the bed. Castiel couldn't see him because well Balthazar didn't want him to, not yet at least.

You see Castiel didn't know that Balthazar still lived. But he was going to tonight. The blonde angel always kept an eye on Castiel. He was Bal's love. His everything, but of course Castiel didn't know that. And he wouldn't. That's how Balthazar thought it had to be.

Castiel sat on the bed in his room, and thought about, well, everything. How lonely he was all the time, how much he had missed his deceased angel friends, how he took Balthazar's life.

He had thought a lot about his old friend since he died, Castiel would feel eternally sorry for what he did. He had secretly loved Balthazar for years. But Angel business was all that mattered. It would be weird to Mix their business with their love life, plus, look at all of the girls just falling over themselves just to get some of his attention. Castiel couldn't compete with a heterosexual male going after heterosexual females.

And of course Balthazar happily obliged to 'help' every lady he thought was good enough, always with whiskey, or wine of sorts in his hand. It was almost comical and yet it was also quite heartbreaking.

If Balthazar where there he would be able to tell him how he felt for real, or not. Castiel knew he wasn't confident enough to tell the other sassy angel of his feelings.

"So, do you think of me often?" Balthazar finally made himself known, a glass of 200 year old bourbon in his hand. Castiel practically jumped out of his skin when he heard Balthazar's voice.

"Balthazar?" he asked questioningly. The angel was pretty sure that he was hallucinating and that his old friend was here because of the guilt in his heart. But he wasn't going to step any further.

"Well obviously, I mean, who else do you know who is this extraordinarily handsome?" He smirked and Castiel blushed at his Accent. He had always loved him...it...he meant, it, the accent.

"But you're dead, I killed you when I tried to be our father. " Cas said, standing there dumbfounded his hands playing with the tie of his coat.

"You're not the only one that daddy loves darling." Bal winked and Castiel tilted his head. "But you didn't answer my question Cassie, do you think of me often?" Castiel's face went beat red and he refused to look at the angel before him.

"I Uh..."

"How long have you had feelings for me Castiel? Has it been going on for a while? Why didn't you tell-" he was cut off by a raging angel.

"What's with all of these questions Balthazar, why do you need to know? So you can go and tell the other angels in our Garrison the fact that I, the failure Angel, am infatuated with heavens most eligible bachelor. 'Hey look guys Castiel's gay! And into me! Hahahahaha who does he thing he is? He fell and none of us need him especially since he has sinned and has feelings for the same gender despite his fathers warnings, HAHAHA!" Castiel was shouting. While he was talking Balthazar's cocky smirk faded and he looked somewhat worried, and extremely upset.

"Castiel, I didn't mean it like that." Balthazar set his glass down and walked over to the angel whose shoulders and head slumped. The blonde angel placed his hands on Castiel's shoulders.

"I'm sorry I took your life Balthazar. I regret it every day. And I'm sorry that I love you. It's not my fault, I'm am how my father made me."tears fell and hit the carpet and Castiel's shoulders shook, Bal used his hand to lift the tear streaked face.

"Castiel, I forgive you. And I was asking you the questions because we used to tell eachother everything, and it seems that we have both been keeping a fairly large secret." Castiel looked extremely confused, it was written all over his face. "I love you Castiel." Balthazar said, he felt a huge weight lift off of his shoulders when he spoke the words. Castiel however, didn't look convinced. He almost looked frustrated.

"But you're always with women, they are always all over you. I don't..." his brow was furrowed and his head was tilted while his hands clenched at his side as the thought appeared I'm his head.

"I'm bisexual Castiel. And it was sex. I am only an Angel after all." Balthazar smiled and placed a hand on Cas' cheek. "You're the only angel for me. If were talking love."

Castiel tried to pull away stubbornly but Balth wouldn't let him. He pulled the angel forward and kissed him hard on the mouth. You see, Balthazar was known as the most stubborn angel in the garrison and he wasn't going to let Castiel get away easily. Not after what he had just admitted. Cas tried to fight at first but he eventually gave into to the sweet taste of wine on Bal's lips, he wrapped his arms around the blonde angels waist and embraced everything about him, the musk of his cologne, the almost silk feel cotton of his blazer beneath Cas' fingers, the blissful softness of the angel's lips. It was all everything he had imagined.

Balthazar pulled away first. "Since we both aren't really on duty anymore, would you like to be my lover Castel?" the angel nodded before they locked lips again in another passionate kiss.

They didn't work for heaven anymore, so they could be as romantic as they wanted.
