The hairs on her neck stood to attention, the unwelcome sensation of heat against her skin as her ears picked up the sounds of heavy hoarse breathing. A low growl naturally filled the space around her, unable to move for what felt like forever. A mixture of curiousity and fear bubbled in her stomach, the curiousity begged her to look. To turn around and stare into the eyes of whatever had crept up behind her and accept whatever might come. The fear pleaded her to run..wherever that may take her. She truly cursed the curiousity in her head since it usually dictated her choices. As she finally gathered the bravery to turn and face whoever or whatever was behind her, she was grabbed by a pair of large matted fur paws. The claws lightly scratching along her skin leaving a trail of delicate pink where they had been. She could feel her skin flushing a hot red and sweat began to form on her brow, whatever was behind her now appeared to be making a grab for her. A burst of courage bubbled in her stomach, Lucy then turning with a loud incoherent yell as she shoved her arms out infrom of her in full force. Praying that somehow her considerably smaller arms would push the obviously larger figure behind her and provide her with a moment to run.

For a breif moment she wasn't entirely sure if time had stopped or if the lack of any real sound around her had just thrown her body out of sync, however that was quickly cut short as she dealt with the consequences of her rather pathetic attempt at self defence. Landing on her rear with a rather uncomfortable thud, her arms still out and straight in almost military fashion. A tinge of pain and embarassment stung her entire body, though she still dared not open her eyes. This truly was the beginning of a dreadful day. Part of the girl wanted to curl up in a ball and cry, as if her mind had completely disregarded the presence of another person..if it even was a person to begin with. Then she wandered if something existed in the real world that had bear arms, other than a bear of course. Her peculiar trail of thought was cut short to an unexpected sound, the sound of laughter.

The laugh itself was deep and hoarse, clearly an older male if she had to guess. Opening her eyes again slowly, which seemed to be the first sensible thing she had actually consciously chosen to do. She didn't feel the need to crawl away or curl up defensively, something told her that prey was hardly appetising if it managed to fall over trying to 'attack'. Her glassy blue eyes scanned over the figure. Stood before her was a tall male, messy brown hair that stuck out in every direction. Not a strand seemed to be in the right place. On the left side of his face was a lengthly deep red scar that had clearly torn through his eye. In place of it was a shiny black button, tied on rather crudely with some string though it seemed to sit there comfortably. On the right there were no real blemishes, a heavy stubble dusted across his chin and up the sides of his face. He was pale, but any colouration in his face seemed to be from dirt of some kind. Though she didn't care much to wander why he'd be covered in dirt. He was dressed in a scruffy white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, fitted dirt covered pants and scruffy shoes. If he didn't look so bizzare..perhaps he was a smart businessman in another place. Poking out of his hair were two little rounded ears that twitched every so often and the real oddity were the older mans arms. Thick tousled fur coating his arms and long rounded claws, essentially he had the body of a man with a few bear accessories.

"Oh honestly, Its been such a long time since I've had a good laugh!" He said buckled over, holding his own stomach as he continued to chuckle heartily. Reaching up to wipe the tears of laughter from his eyes as he composed himself.

"I am sorry about that, I didn't scare you too much did I? I understand the arms can be a little ehm..much?" He said reaching forward to help her up.

Lucy blinked a few times, tilting her head slightly as she reached forward and wrapped a hand around the fur coated paw. Hopping back up to her feet and dusting her dungarees off as she took another closer look at the bear. Unsure of what to really say or do at that point though luckily it seemed he had picked up the hint and decided to take the breaking of the ice upon himself.

"Again i'm sorry if I frightened you, my name is Bjorn..and you are?"
