"L-L-Lucy..." The girl practically had to spit the words out, swallowing a lump in her throat as she recovered from the initial shock more than anything. Her first impressions seemed to be a little far from the truth, the girl tracing her fingers over the light scratches Bjorn had left on her skin. Her eyes seemed hazed over as she watched pin-pricks of glittering red seep through her skin, for a very short moment she seemed to forget that she was not herself and that could only mean Bjorn was also not quite himself. Once again the focus of her attention were his arms, so she plucked up the spirit to question him a little.

"If you don't mind me asking...whats the deal with the arms...?" She said stretching an arm out to point at his peculiar assets. Her head tilted to the side ever so slightly like a confused little puppy.

"I wish I knew myself. I know I don't come from this place but I can't remember for the life of me where I ever was before..." He said with concern laced in his voice, as if he was getting lost within his own thought process.

Lucy paused and for a moment wandered how someone could forget their home, in her mind she could still see every little detail of each of the amusement rides. The blue teacup that had a small dent in the side, the crooked gaudy stairs of the funhouse. There was no way she could forget any of that and so she was self-assured her mind wasn't failing her just yet.

"So you must be a bear or something...and last I remember is that bears aren't particularly friendly...so..um..I'll just be going before I end up like whoever you might have sliced up.." She said rather shakily extending a pointed finger to the dripping wooden bowls placed on the table. The thick glittering liquid coating the rim of the bowl in some beautifully macabre fashion. Her heels lightly dragging against the cobbled floor as she tried to edge herself to the door before the considerably larger Bjorn could get there first.

"Oh..Its not what it looks like please!" He pleaded, not just with his voice but with his eye. Though lacking in its partner the honey brown gaze held some mournful tone within it. One that Lucy couldn't seem to brush off though every other fiber of her body craved the path out of the house and far out of the way. Instead she gave a rather stubborn huff, puffing her cheeks out and crossing her arms over her chest like a child being told to sit still. Assuming she was willing to hear him out, the male began to speak.

"When I first came here...I was looking for something. I don't remember what but...I wasn't alone. I had what felt like a family. There was me, A female with arms like mine, her name was Beau I believe. Then there was the little one, just a young thing but he felt safe with us as adults. Benji. We were like a real family. I mean I know that we weren't but things were comfortable."

He took a lengthy pause, recounting the events and faces of those involved that day. Hoping, pleading that the girl might understand and be able to help.

"This girl Goldie, she kept trying to sneak into the house. I caught her several times, I don't know what she was looking for but one day she came back with...these creatures. They hunched over like humans but their bodies were distorted and cracked. I'd best describe them as a human-dog hybrid as they ran on all fours. I can only assume she was looking for something with a scent to it...but they came in the dead of night and tore the place apart. They took them both, I couldn't tell you where or why but she said that she paid her debt and like that she was gone."

Lucy eyed Bjorn with a look of sympathy as she listened, it seemed like his story was genuine and for that she was fully invested.

"Through the chitter in the forest I heard they were taken to a woman called the Heartress but that is where my knowledge of such a person ends. I spent my grief cleaning up our home in hopes of them returning but no such luck...but then one day I spotted her. A bonny little girl with long blonde locks so carelessly frolicking through the forest...like she was unaware of the pain she had caused. I know...what I did was wrong and I won't force you to think otherwise. Red with rage I just...I didn't mean to hurt her...I thought I would feel better if I did something. I only feel far worse..."

He said burying his head in his paws, for a minute Lucy swore she spotted tears leaking from his eye and the black shiny button. Her heart felt a little heavy in her chest as she nodded, unsure of what words could possibly bring comfort to this man. Looking back to him as she waited for him to finish.

Through snivels and snuffles he closed his defense case.

"I have to try to find them...I cannot remedy what I did to that girl but I can't waste time waiting for them to return any longer...but I don't know if I can do it alone...or if I can even do it at all..."

He spoke with a heavy tone and was unsure if she girl had even stayed to hear him out, part of him afraid to even look up and face an empty room. Lucy slowly reached forward and rested her dainty hand upon his shoulder. Feeling the fur of his arms pressed against the shirt as she rubbed up and down in a comforting motion.

"I haven't been here long...but this isn't my home and I'd like to find a way back. If I help you find your family will you help me find my way back home?"

She spoke softly, her glassy blue eyes focused on Bjorn as he frantically balled his paws into fists and wiped away his tears. Nodding so fast his head might fall off.

"Of course! I swear it! I'll help you find your home if it's the last thing I do!"
