Hello, Hope you like it and you don't find it confusing . I prefer to do it in this format, you'll understand once you start reading. It's something I need to do to get at least an inch of Haiti's tragedy across. Before you start reading, sadly I don't know the different between prose pr poetry. I would be grateful if someone could point it out. [I know I'm stupid].
I'm starting with a prose/poetry and then the first chapter (part one) starts and it ends with another prose/ poetry.
Hope You enjoy it and Comment/ Fan/ Vote If You Like
But, Lets not forget the tragedy of Haiti, Their sorrow, their troubles......
Haiti in Our Hearts [Reviving Hope]
[The Not So Innocent Sun] - Prose
Oh, the judicious sun
The pure, innocent luminosity swelling across Haiti,
The chaste, blameless radiance bulging through Haiti,
The virtuous, guiltless brilliance enlarging throughout Haiti
....Yet is it enough?
......Is it blameless, guiltless and innocent.
......Or does it withhold a crucial element of Haiti's Destiny
****
It Flickers with high spirits, feeding on the gleam of the sun.
Increasing with vigour, geared up to destroy
The malevolence and immorality is immense
...Perfectly immense to create havoc.
...Perfectly, immense to perform destruction
...Perfectly, immense to generate Annihilation
The secret Earthquake concealed behind the apparent Pure Sun, A minuscule sinister spot against the gleaming sphere.
****
It was thought that the sun would amalgamate against future threats, but the once strong binding force around the glowing orb, withered away, leaving with tiny holes for darkness to seep through.

Oh Innocent Haiti, Wholly oblivious to forthcoming event.
It used to be;
A land of Milk and Honey, with green pastures and calm turquoise seas
Paradise in Reality
The laughter of Children once filled the land like a ray of glistening happiness
Whilst, the busy buzzing of market women were like music to Haitian's ears
Yet now,
The land cries with agony, starvation and malnutrition rule with an iron fist
Virus infections reigns over our prized possessions, their future leaders, their children
Green Pastures are now rotten,
Joy and laughter have been robbed from their faces, their bodies shrivelled, their hope gone
Death lingers among the people of Haiti
It preys on the weak, poor and wretched, It shows no mercy
It strikes whenever it pleases
Women are crying, Children are weeping, and Men are dying
The odour of drying blood and decaying bodies fill the air
Corruption dictates our leaders, our nation drenched in poverty
Sickness, disease, anguish and pain are our daily lives

Drip
Drip, Drip
Drip
Drip, Drip
.....A much accustomed sound...
The irritable pattern sustained like clockwork, the noise being a worrying characteristic of several Civilians, escalating their fear.
Yet, the terror was more frantic in a particular citizen named Sapphire. The worry lines creased in her young soft face bronzed face. Her round chocolate eyes formed tiny pools of tears, still compressed inside her eyes. Her eyes peered down towards her leg bent in an unimaginable way, yet that wasn't her concern.
A silver rusting metal plank was gashed into her leg, piercing through her tanned skin and tearing her pinkish flesh apart. A small part of her bone was exposed to the human eye. Still bizarrely, this was not her concern
Her eyes were darting around before focusing again on the source of the irritable dripping sound.
Her Leg
It was the dripping of blood
The terror in her eyes was clearly the concern of her blood being drained slowly from her.
Her anaemic body.

[Worry Not] - Poetry/Prose
Oh Haiti, Be Strong
Stand tall and dignify your people
Let that blue and red flag shine brightly in the air
Oh Haiti even though we have been shaken by the forces of nature
Liberation is around the corner
Oh my Innocent Haiti
Don't weep any more
Don't worry any more
For I assure you
Liberation is around the corner
Liberation is around the corner
