"Shhh. Calm down." Freddy tried to comfort the terrified girl.
Why was she scared of him? Did he do something to her that he didn't remember?
He reached his hand to try to help her out from under the table but she kept trying to get out of his reach.
"Just take my hand. Don't be afraid."
She whimpered. What was he doing wrong?
"What's wrong?" Freddy said really concerned.
The girl tried to say something but she was too frightened to say it correctly, the bear couldn't understand her stammering words.

He's going to kill her, that's what!
If she moves toward him, he might just grab her and bite the life out of her.
The bear's voice seemed trustworthy and sounded really concerned about her.
Maybe I can trust him... No, I can't. He's playing innocent... I don't need to be afraid of him, if he says it then it's probably true... He might just be lying...
The tug of war in her head still went on. She was confused if she should trust one side or the other.
"It's OK, just take my hand. I'm gonna help you out." Freddy's deep warm voice interrupted her thoughts. In front of her he had his paw outstretched.
Her shaking hand slowly went to meet the animatronic's. The bear started to smile as her hand was almost touching his paw. What was she doing? She going to get herself killed!
Killed...
The moment she thought it, she pulled her hand back. Freddy's smile disappeared. "Come on. You can trust me." He said. There was an edge to his voice where anger started to kick in.
Will he tear me to pieces right at this moment if he gets too mad at me? Rachel asked herself.
She whimpered, she couldn't stop looking at his blood-stained mouth She looked at his paw and saw dried blood. He killed people before. Was Mary right the whole time?
The animatronic bear pulled his hand back and put it on his thigh. He sighed.
"Do you want me to leave you alone?" He asked her.
Yes. No.
Without her telling him what she wants, he stood up and started toward the doorway.
Rachel hesitated. She both didn't want him to leave but also did want him to leave.
Maybe Freddy will understand if she tells him.
"Y-you were g-going to to m-murder me." Rachel stammerd.
The bear stopped in his tracks. Now what was he thinking? Did she just remind him to kill her?
