Chapter 19
From what I had seen of this house it was quite large. There was a ground floor and the first floor, the one I was on. From above I could see the main room, decorated with two three seater sofas, a clear glass coffee table and a large plasma tv which hung from the wall. There were a few other items too but just like the room I was staying in, the furniture was kept to a bare minimum. Two staircases were on either side which led up to this floor and I was sure there was a door leading to the kitchen.
I trod down the stairs as lightly as I could, cautiously looking around to make sure I wouldn't be caught. I heard faint chatter from the other side of the room and it seemed to be getting louder so I began to panic, not knowing where to hide.
I was frozen with fear, assuming this was it but just then Jake's name was called by a familiar voice. I crouched down and looked. It was Zach standing in the doorway. Jake walked towards him and greeted him, inviting him inside. They began to talk and I was becoming more and more nervous. That guy had probably seen that I ran away and he would find me and then tell Jake.
I tuned out of their conversation until I heard Tyler's name being mentioned. "You should have taken Tyler, not the girl. She has nothing to do with this," Zach said. He knew about this?
Jake chuckled before speaking, "Zach mate, I advise you not to tell me how to run things around here," he warned, patting his back.
"I'm not," he shrugged Jake's hand off. "I just think she shouldn't b-"
"I don't care what you think," Jake glared at him. The guy had a serious anger problem.
My hiding spot was stupid, anyone could walk down the stairs and they would find me with ease. I decided to take advantage of the moment. All the men were either listening into the conversation or not in the room so I crawled towards one of the three cabinets and hid behind it. Antiques from various different countries and times were carefully placed inside, each one more beautiful and intricate than the former.
I felt my stomach drop when the man who had escorted me to the bathroom approached Jake and whispered something in his ear, making the expression on his face turn from a smile to pure anger and fury. "Well go find her then!" he bellowed, making me jump in my position. He rubbed his hand across his forehead and began pacing back and forth. His men scattered around the house and I squeezed myself even more into the narrow gap, closing my eyes as I hoped this nightmare would end.

Tyler's POV
I was sat on the couch with my face buried in my hands, my head was banging and I had no idea what to do. "I'm going there," I proclaimed, looking up at Alec.
"We've already been over this three times, no you're not. If you go there you'll be putting yourself at risk as well as Arissa. Then we'll never get her back!" he yelled, suddenly realising that he should have lowered his voice because Heidi was just upstairs.
"I have no other option, do I?" I sighed frustratedly, feeling like breaking every item in the room.
"We'll arrange the money," he suggested, only making me angrier.
"Don't you think I'd be getting it if I knew where from? I don't have it, you don't, Mum won't. I need a legitimate reason to ask the bank and I can't tell her parents about this! Even if I did, I'm sure they wouldn't have it lying around. Arranging something will take a few days and I can't let her stay there for that long. Who knows how they're treating her? She probably hates me for getting her into this shit and I know it's going to be over between us before it's barely started. She's probably so scared and confused right now, amidst strangers, and I'm so fucking pathetic that I can't even think of a way to help her out!" I said in one big breath, my chest heaving up and down.
