New Beginnings

Chapter 7

Sydney’s POV

I feel like I owe Zoe my life! She has united my prince and me together. Things between us couldn’t be more perfect!

Ok so we weren’t dating, but it felt like we were. We’d only gone on one date but we’ve spending almost every day together. Sometimes he’d surprise me by picking me up from college and we’d go back to his apartment to watch a movie or something. He’s so sweet!

He’d DEFINITELY amazayn! Shhhh. Don’t tell Ruby I used that reference. Wait, no one can hear me. I swear I’m one step away from talking to myself.

Speaking of Ruby, I haven’t seen her in like a week. I think. Which was weird because we saw each other almost every day. Plus we go to the same college!

I walked upstairs and went to Zoe’s room. Leah was also in there and they looked liked they were invested in a deep conversation.

“Guyyyyyyysssss!” I whined plopping down in between them on Zoe’s bed.

I failed at getting their attention. Both of them just kept talking ignoring me even though I was sprawled out on them! Jerks.

“It’s important guys! Answer me!” I begged wiggling around. And somehow I ended up on the floor. Still waiting for their reply.

So I decided to give them my killer death glare. Even if they weren’t looking at me they could feel it. I know they can! I got really close to Leah, breathing heavily in her ear, thinking she would be the first to crack.

All of a sudden Zoe reached over and pushed me away slapping her hand to my face. My body slammed on the ground. I said “Oww!” but it really didn’t hurt. “Zoe! You buttface. That hurt!” I lied.

“Sydney, go away. Leah and I are busy,” she reprimanded and then directed her attention towards Leah.

“Fine.” I spat, “I’m leaving. I’m going keep driving until I’m in the middle of no where. I’ll be surrounded by nothing and have to sleep in my car and wake up to the sound of people eating beasts trying to get to me. And then my only option will be to keep driving until I reach a cliff and drive off of it and DIE!” I stated trying to get a reaction from them but nothing.

I groaned going down the stairs again. I grabbed my car keys and left.

In about five minutes I made my way to Ruby, Vanessa and Bri’s apartment. I was about to head inside but my phone went off. It was Niall’s ringtone!

So of course I answered it!

“Hello!” I said really excited to be hearing from him.

“Hey Syd! I was wondering if you were busy later today?”

“Umm…” I said thinking about today’s schedule, “Nope!”

“Great! I’d like to bring you out on a date!”

“That sounds amazing I’d love to!”

“Ok, so does 2:30 sound good to you?”

“Yeah, that’s fine!”

“Ok I’ll pick you up then. Bye!”

“Bye, Niall!” I said possibly too enthusiastically. I couldn’t help it though, I loved that boy!

I hung up and headed inside. I hoped Ruby was home. If not this shit will be getting serious! I got upstairs and instead of knocking on the door I just pulled out the key I had and unlocked the door.
