When a bright beam of sunlight placed a light finger on me I fully awoke. I sit up only to a wince of pain shooting up my back. I couldn't remember what happened to me to have me in pain like this. Then I realized what it was. I was stabbed in my lower to middle back. I could feel a cloth on it to soak up the blood from last night. I almost felt like a t-shirt.
Then I looked at my arms. Covered in cuts and bruises, then every detail came back from last night. The horrific memory of Lyndsay attacking me looking like a demon herself. The unreal strength that she never had before. The hatred in her eyes. Hatred towered me. I soon realized that I was bawling my eyes out from overload since we first arrived. I look down at the bottom bunk to see if she was there or not. She was sound asleep, even more cut up and bruised from last night. She had her gear on again soon making me realize that mine was back on. I laid back down on my bed hoping that this was just a nightmare. But then a couple of glimpse of memories came back after the fight. A couple of people were around Lyndsay and I. I remember someone caressing my head telling me I would be alright and I remember seeing Thomas carrying Lyndsay bridle style while she was unconscious. It almost seemed like he was crying. It takes an awful lot to make Thomas cry. But then a thought entered my mind, who would be stroking my head gently last night then? Minho is always rough with me and Thomas was with Lyndsay... Newt. I now remember! It was Newt! I remember him saying to me that I was going to be alright while caressing my head extremely gently. That's when I fell out of consciousness again.
Does Newt really care about me? Was he just doing that because I was injured? My mind raced with questions until I came to one that made me stop thinking about everything. Who stabbed me?
