WheelJack's P.O.V
The bright land shining into my optics was the last thing I wanted right now. The pain in my side, literally, was the only thing I could feel. I could practically hear my spark beat in my optics. Where was I? Why was it hard to open my optics? Why is my body aching?
"WheelJack, can you hear me?" The light was shifting back and forth. I grunted at the harsh movement.
"Stop with that fragging light already," I hissed and tried lifting my left servo to swat at it. Though, my servo felt too heavy. A long drawn out beep entered my adios sensors. The light was quickly pulled away from me.
"Ratchet! We're losing him!" I frowned, losing who? And why did Optimus sound like that?
Then, it hit me. The JackHammer was destroyed. Megatron was laughing, the fire everywhere. But there was something else. Bumblebee. I shot up, the pain in my side throbbing in dismay.
"Kid!" My optics finally focused, them falling on the too still yellow mech. I made a move to swing my peds over to get to him, a servo pushing me down by my chassis. I looked to see Bulkhead, he shoved me all the way down to the berth. "Get off me! I have to help him!" Bulkhead just looked at me, his faceplates told me everything. I couldn't do anything.
Smokescreen entered my audio sensors. "Bee!" A bunch of clanging. I turned to him, IronHide was holding him, the kid hitting the ground. "Let go of me! Bumblebee!" The kid was trying to get out of the specialists grip. Arcee was turned into Arrow's chassis. Arrow covering her own mouth. She watched as her Sire pulled Smokescreen back. The young mech was holding a servo over his spark chamber. I turned back to Bumblebee, Bulkhead and I could only watch as Optimus hovered around Bumblebee's berth. Bee's own Sire using a defibrillator on him. Ratchet was frantic. Then, the long drawn out beep stopped. Smokescreen screamed.
Bulkhead's P.O.V
(Picking up at the end of last chapter)
WheelJack's optics powered off as soon as IronHide reached him. Energon was dripping from his side, wires crackling as they were exposed to us. I hoisted WheelJack over my shoulder, careful to not brush his wound too much. IronHide was moving Smokescreen, grabbing Bumblebee from his grasp. Smokescreen tried to argue, but stopped when he noticed Megatron overpowering Optimus. I watched as the kid lost all control. He charged the warlord.
"Smokescreen!" Optimus shouted at the young warrior. I could only watch as Smokescreen ripped off the shoulder plating of Megatron, the warlord taken back by what seemed to be surprise. Megatron grabbed Smokescreen by his door wings, and aimed his cannon at him.
"I want you to meet your brother in the Allspark, young one."Smokescreen glared at the mech.
"Then you're coming with." Optimus tackled Megatron, Smokescreen flying out of his grip.
"Ratchet! We need a bridge!" I hollered through the comm link. Not even a nanoclick later did one appear next to me. "IronHide, let's get Bumblebee and WheelJack out of here. Now!" IronHide looked to me and nodded. NightArrow had taken Smokescreen by the faceplate, talking to him before dragging him up and forward. Arcee was helping Optimus. I ran through the ground bridge with WheelJack, IronHide following right behind me. I was met with Ratchet, his faceplate dropped. He looked to me, but IronHide came through. Ratchet stumbled back. The sight of Bumblebee was enough. Though, he held his chassis. The bond was hurting the medic as well.
"Medbay," was all he could muster to say. I laid Bee down, Ratchet tending to him. "IronHide, I need you to hook WheelJack up right now. I need a defibrillator, patches, and my welder. Stat." IronHide and I raced around, grabbing each item. The bridge closed, I turned to see everybot had made it through with minimal damage. Our most damaged were already laid on the berths.
WheelJack's P.O.V
I woke yet again to see Ratchet and Optimus in the med bay. Both bots were leaned against the wall on two crates. The lines bounced up and down on the monitor. Bumblebee's slow but steady spark beat was there. Smokescreen was leaning against the berth, his head down. "Ratchet?"
Doc's helm snapped to me, "WheelJack. Easy. You are still recovering." I looked down at my side, the pain had subsided a little yet was still there. It was completely patched, the extra layer of medal very clearly displayed though. "I managed to line your wires. You will make a full recovery. How are you feeling?"
"I'm sore. How is the kid?" This wasn't about me. I needed to know about the kid.
Ratchet looked to his sons. Smokescreen was practically falling asleep on him. He sighed as he walked to him. "He's stable." Smokescreen looked at Ratchet as he made his way closer.
"No. I have to be here when he comes back online." Smokescreen looked away. Only focusing on Bumblebee. Ratchet leaned down and tried to get Smokescreen up. The young mech refused. He shook off his Sires servo. "Son, come on." Smokescreen met Ratchet's optics.
"Sire, I can't. I can't leave him. What if he wakes and I am not here? He's hurting. I can feel it." Ratchet frowned. I had to look away. These kids shouldn't be going through this. My childhood wasn't like this. I looked back to see Ratchet leaning against a softy crying Smokescreen. Arcee and NightArrow stepped in. Arrow walking very closely to Arcee. Arcee came to the other side of Smokescreen.
"He's going to be okay. He always comes back to us, Smokey," Arcee whispered to him. Arrow placed a servo on his back struts. Then, the computer started beeping too fast. Bumblebee was up in a second. His blasters ready.
"WheelJack!" He tried to stand, shoving away Smokescreen. Though, his leg was still healing, the stints and welded metal was not ready to be used. He fell forward. Ratchet caught him.
"WheelJack is here and well, Bumblebee," the yellow mech looked my direction, his optics spinning fast. Ratchet sat Bee back down on the berth. "You have got to calm down, son. You are going to throw your systems into overdrive and put yourself back into stasis." Bumblebee merely nodded. As he went to open his mouth, Smokescreen was already on him.
"I thought you were gone, Bee. I felt you leave. You were gone. You left me here." Bumblebee held him. The two holding on to each other. Smokey let go, and Arcee was next to fall into the scout. He also held her. Arrow put a servo on Smokescreen's arm. Though, he whipped to her and hugged her. Her peds barely scraped the ground.
