Bumblebee's P.O.V
The next day, I had woke to no sign of Smokescreen. It wasn't like him to leave me in here by myself. Usually we would online around the same time, unless I had just missed him. I groaned, my struts sore after yesterday's events. Smokescreen walked into the berthoom, stretching.
-Where in the Allspark did you go?-
He just looked at me. I glared at him. -Funny story-
-Im all ears-
-The sunset went well?-
My optics went wide and I smacked him over the helm. "Tell me you didn't." Smokescreen smiled at me.
"Of course I didn't, I just spent the night with her. I didn't even mean to. We were talking about Earth. She had wanted to hear more and learn more about it so she could interact with the kids a little better," Smokey explained.
"You promise that is it? Hide will have your aft."
Smokescreen waved his servos in front of him, "of course that was all."
"Then I am glad it went well," I relaxed a little knowing that IronHide wasn't going to kill my brother.
"Though we did kiss. That was pretty amazing," Smokescreen sighed in delight. I just rolled my optics and waved him off. I walked into the main room, Smokescreen and I discussing plans for the day. NightArrow wanted Smokescreen to show her around Earth just a little bit more if we weren't busy. WheelJack had wanted me to go check out the JackHammer.
As we reached the common area, NightArrow was already bothering Ratchet about what would be the best places to travel to. Ratchet being almost excited to tell her. The mech had taken a liking to Arrow, she was a lot more chill than his own sons at the least. Smokescreen suggested Brazil to see the Amazon. It was also away from most humans. IronHide gave the okay, though they were told to keep their comm links open at all times. After those two left, WheelJack finally came in after having showered in the barracks.
WheelJack's P.O.V
Bumblebee turned to me as I entered the room, finishing drying myself off. "Hey kid, you ready to help me out a bit?" He gave me a thumbs up before turning back to Ratchet.
"Hey sunshine, run those coordinates through and get me to my ship, would ya?" Ratchet glared at me before powering up the bridge.
"Be careful, both of you," he called out. Though he mumbled, "I guess." While locking optics with me, I only winked back at him. Wanting nothing more than to aggravate him a little bit. I loved leaving on an annoyed note just so he had to stay thinking about me.
Bumblebee and I made our way to my ship, the JackHammer still kicking. "I'm gonna grab some stuff for the outside of the ship. I will be right back." Bumblebee nodded as he walked around the ship. Probably just interested in the fact that he hadn't seen nor drove one in a while. I made a mental note to let him ride and drive it later on after we were done. I entered the ship and pulled out some cleaning supplies. I stopped in my tracks when I took in the familiarity of it all. This ship held many memories. Good and bad. I wished it were only for joy rides like I had bought it for in the first place. Though, when would I ever get my way in this crappy war. As I stepped out of the ship, Bumblebee was nowhere to be seen. I rose an optic brow. Bee couldn't have wondered too far. I peered around one side of the ship, and there he was. Just placing his servo on the side of it. "How long has it been since you've rode in one of these? Or drove one?"
Bumblebee sighed, "way too long."
"I will make you a deal, if you help me clean this girl, I will take you for a spin and you can hotrod it. Sound good?" Bumblebee's door wings perked up with joy. Though, before there was too big of a celebration, a blast rocked us. Bumblebee shouted in surprise. A vehicon appeared in front of me before I could even fully register it's existence. I grabbed the mop from my supplies, smacking the con away. Another came from behind, but I jammed the handle of the mop through it's form. "I really needed that mop. Oh Primus, I sound like Ratchet."
Bumblebee was at my side all of sudden, his optics wide and startled. "Where in the name of Ultron did these guys come from?"
"Couldn't tell you, kid. They may have found the Hammer and have been scouting it for while. Good thing it's pretty far from base. I guess Bulk had a smart idea after all." Though, Bumblebee's quip back never made it to me. A giant blast shook us, smacking into the JackHammer. I went offline.
Coming back to, I tasted the dirt from Earth. I slowly spit it out, energon coming up with it. I tried to push myself up, only to fail. I raised my helm, my optics scanning the scene. I giant fire was warming my right side. The JackHammer was completely destroyed, my joy ride with Bee was completely demolished. A sudden wave of sadness rushed over me. The thought of not getting that ever again hitting me. Bumblebee. I cracked my optics even more as I scanned for the yellow bot. The sound of groaning and choking caught my audio circuits. There he was, though I realized why he was in so much pain. Bumblebee's leg was barely hanging on to his form, the glass on his wings were completely smashed into pieces around him. The bot was littering the ground with energon. Energon that was around fire. It could blow. I grunted as I struggled to get up. Bumblebee must have heard me, even through the definite ringing in his audio circuits.
"J-Jackie?" Bumblebee started to drag himself to me.
"Don't move, kid. I'm comming base if they haven't already gotten the alert on our status." I activated our comm link to base, "Whe-WheelJack to base. . . do you copy?"
Bumblebee's helm fell back down. He started to groan again, the adrenaline must have been wearing off more and more by the nano click we laid here. A dark laugh reached me. Both Bumblebee and I looked to see Megatron stepping through the flames, rain starting to drop. Of course. Bumblebee's door wings lowered at the sight of the evil warlord. I glared at him as I had propped myself up against a piece of debris.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the famous scout and wrecker. I can't wait to add you to my collection back on my ship. Scout, I tend to take back that voicebox your sire so proudly took from me." Bumblebee optics turned as he focused on the bigger mech. I could tell he was starting to break. I turned my attention back to Megatron, glaring at him. The intent to kill.
"You're gonna be sorry, Buckethead." Megatron came closer, he put a digit underneath my chin.
"Oh, but I won't be. The only thing I am going to be sorry about is the fact that Optimus won't watch me offline two of his precious Autobots." Bumblebee raised his arm, his blasters activated.
"Bee, standown!" Megatron laughed at Bumblebee, he focused on the kid.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Scout." Megatron raised his cannon, a proud smile reaching his faceplates. The sound of it charging up cut through my spark.
"Don't you fragging do it! I'll kill you! Do you understand me? You offline that kid and it will be the last thing you do, Megatron!" I was becoming frantic. My wiring on my side sparkling and cracking, causing me to lose my ability to move anymore. I could only watch as Bumblebee's determined optics spun and glared at the warlord.
"Tell me, bug. Why is it that you continue to stand up to me? Do you think you are brave?"
"No."
"Then what?"
"I just needed some time."
I squinted my optics in confusion, but before I knew it, Optimus rammed into the side of Megatron, the cannon going off and slamming into a couple of trees. The rain was pounding the Earth at his point. Smokescreen charged as well, ripping into the chassis of a lone Vehicon. He made his way to Bumblebee, who's optics were beginning to fade. I could only watch. The moment becoming too much.
"Bumblebee, please," Smokescreen rolled the kid over, brining him into his arms whilst on his knees. "Bee, you have to stay with me here. Sire is going to patch you all up. You're gonna be just fine. Right? Yeah." Smokescreen grunted as he had to put his own servo over his spark chamber. Bumblebee was fading. "Bee, come on!" Smokescreen was shaking him. The yellow bot's form was becoming almost clean as the Energon slid off of him, the rain clinging to him. Yet, the fire stayed aglow. Bulkhead running over and IronHide coming into my view was the last thing I saw before I entered stasis.
