A New Journey Begins!

Chapter 2: Leaving Home

The sun was shining in Kalos, and it was just peeking through my window in the town of Vaniville Town. Such an early, rolling over to look at the clock, it blinked 7:35. Time to get up thought Serena. Today was the day that she finally went on her journey to Lumiose City to go see the Pokemon Professor, Professor Sycamore, and she would get her very first Pokemon, which she had already decided on which one she would get last night. She had three choices, but she would find out what they were like when she met them later in the day.

"Time to get up! I need to figure out my outfit for the day and pack a bag!" I said rising out of bed. Fletchling was still perched on my head apparently. The light snoring was just so adorable.

Walking downstair, with my stomach rumbling, I just wanted something to eat. Mom wasn't up yet which is surprising. Opening the fridge to pull out the orange juice, we were running low, so I decided to leave mom a note just in case I left before she got up and went to work.

Dear Mom, Orange Juice is getting pretty low, I got kinda thirsty this morning so.

Love, Serena! <3 Have a great day!

After taking that note and sticking it on the fridge using a Voltorb fridge magnet, I decided to just go back upstairs and get ready.

Deciding to undress and step into the shower, since I stunk and was just so dirty from the Rhyhorn training yesterday, my face still bruised a little bruised. I found myself to be humming some sort of tune that sounded so familiar, yet it made me happy. Stepping out of the shower, towel on, one for my body, the other for my hair I realized something. That tune! It was from the summer camp that I went to so long ago! It was a campfire song. It was really catchy and I guess because I looked at the picture last night it must have reminded me of it. Then it reminded me of... Him... I plan on finding him today. Ash Ketchum, just you wait.

A few minutes later I find myself in a almost waist length red skirt with a small pocket on the side, thigh high grey stockings, matching ankle high grey sport shoes, a black tank top with white collar underneath. Now all I have to decide on a-

*KNOCK KNOCK* "Yeah. Come in..." I say to the knock at the door.

"Serena. Where are you going? You look like your going out somewhere?" Said mom with a smile on her face.

"Hey mom, which one should i wear?" I say as I hold up two different hats, one being a Pink bowler hat with a black bow on the side of it, and the other being a golfer's hat with a black ball on top.

"Um, that one" She pointed to the golf hat. I immediately put that one down and put the other one on my head. "Ill choose this one!" I say

"If you already knew which one you wanted then why did you ask for my help?" Mom said with a glare. I gave a small giggle and told her "Its obvious that the one you didn't pick was the cuter one! Thats why." Fletchling chirped in agreement with me.

"I see... Now that you've got that settled, where are you going sweetheart? I don't need you running off and not coming back home for a year." Mom said as she crossed her arms. 

"Well mom if you must know, i'm going to Lumiose City to go see the Pokemon Professor, Professor Sycamore, and go and obtain my very first Pokemon!" I said with a huge smile on my face. Fletchling cheered me on happily. 

"Thats a big step in your life honey, are you sure you don't want to stay a little bit longer before going onto your journey? How are you getting to Lumiose City? Your not going to walk are you?" Mom said with a worried look on her face. I looked at her and gave her a small nod, telling her that I was ready. A small tear came to her eyes and no sooner did that happen I was rushed into a full body hug.
