A New Journey Begins!

Chapter 3: The Reunion

Serena's POV 

Not too long after getting my Pokemon, Fennekin from Professor Sycamore, we started to head off towards Santalune City, so i can finally find Ash. 

 "It will be good to see him again." I say as i find my cheeks warming up a bit, oh well, I'm just out here with Fennekin so its nobody else. 

"Fenne" She jumps up to my shoulder and nuzzles my cheek, giving me a positive grin telling me that everything will be okay.

"Its okay Fennekin, really it is. Im sure we will find a Pokemon Center real soon so we can stay there for the night. Although it really is getting dark, i hope we find one before soon so we don't have to... *gulp* sleep out in the forest... With all... Eyugh, i don't even want to think about everything  that lurks in the dark... " I wish i knew where the Pokemon center was...

Out of nowhere i see a giant ball of white heading towards me, multiple, being like 5, i don't know where they came from but they look pre-

"Fenn-e-Kin!" No sooner did i hear that she jumped in front of me and some sort of fire shot out of her mouth. After that the two attacks collided and there was a small explosion. Whatever it was that shot that white at me was gone. My hat flew off and was nowhere to be seen. The smoke had cleared and then fennekin soon approached me with my hat. I was grateful for having her.

"Thank you fennekin, that was real sweet of you to protect me like that..." I said to her as i patted her head and she came up and licked my face. "Hahaha fennekin, hey that tickles..." I giggled and she gave me a great big smile. "Fenn!" 

"Hello! Is somebody out there? I heard a big noise and wanted to come see what it was!" I hear behind me and turn around to find a girl with curly pink hair, and looks to be some sort of... Doctor? Wait female... Female doctors are nurses right? Yeah I think thats it. It was nurse joy!

"Ah. Nurse joy! Its okay everything is fine, i just got a little startled by a Pokemon i think it was." I said with a small smile on my face.

"I understand, but are the two of you alright? Are you injured? Are you hurt?" She asked in a concerned tone. 

"Yeah we are A-Okay. Thanks to fennekin here she saved me from whatever had tried to attack me." I said. "Could you tell me if there is a Pokemon Center nearby? We were hoping to not have to spend the night in the woods. " I asked.

"Yes theres actually one very close by and its just up ahead, just head north a little bit and you should find it in a matter of minutes." She said with a smile on her face.

"Did you hear that fennekin? We get to sleep at a Pokemon Center tonight! How bout a little game! Lets see who can get there first!" I said as i began to run as fast as i could with the little fire fox Pokemon following close behind me as i began to skip and feel happy. 

Tomorrow... I thought... Tomorrow is when i will find him.. And nothing will stop me! I can't wait to see him! A picture of him from Summer Camp popped into my head. His messy raven hair, the thunderbolts on his cheeks, his smile, his deep dark brown eyes... I couldn't wait to see him again.

I awake feeling well rested from the sleep we had at the Pokemon Center last night Nurse Joy offered us, I think that was her name. Stepping outside i have a few macarons that i brought with me from home, and i share one with fennekin. It seems that she likes them, maybe it won't be so bad to have a partner Pokemon!

"Its so nice... Waking up and being able to actually enjoy myself. No early morning Rhyhorn training, and that annoying fletchling of moms won't come in to wake me up. Its definitely such a relaxing way to start the day." I say as i stretch out my body as much as can, and to my surprise, Fennekin does the same to imitate me and falls backwards on the table. I give a light giggle. She really understands me doesn't she...
