Serena's POV

It was the morning after we got to Lumiose City, and Ash and I were in our room that we were allowed to stay in one of the nearby Pokemon Centers. Bonnie and Clemont were staying with their Dad closer to Prism Tower, however they didn't have a few extra rooms available. I was sitting in my bed, just thinking. I had everything planned for today, and Bonnie was in with my, 'plan.' Clemont didn't know, just because both Bonnie and I agreed that he would say something, try to be slick about it, and blow something. No pun intended with his machinery.

I sighed, turning my head to look out the window. It was still dark outside, about 6 in the morning. I had woken about an hour ago, my nerves refusing to calm down about today's events. I'll be honest, I was scared.

Ash groaned, rolling over in the bed next to me. I turned back over, facing him. With the light of the setting full moon, I could see he had a smile on his face. He was mouthing something as well, causing me to squint to make out the words on his pale lips.

'Thank you, Serena.'

He was thanking me?

'You're so sweet, I just, thank you, for making my journey feel complete.'

Woah. Where did that come from? It was clear he was dreaming, and sometimes, dreams can be personal. Because of this, I rolled back over, seeing that the buildings in view had a bit of sunlight on them, indicating that the sun was rising. I sat up, stretching my arms in front of me. Yawning, I swung my legs over the side of the bed, out from under the covers. I shivered at the blast of cold air on my bare ankles and arms.

Standing up, I bent my spine back, feeling it pop a few times, as I let out a gasp at the relieving sensation running down my back. I cracked my knuckles and neck, feeling the same adrenaline rush as when I popped my spine.

Not wanting to wake Ash, I quietly walk towards the kitchen, I managed to spend at least an extra hour and a half making a few sweets for the two blondes that would be joining us last night. I made some for Ash too.

Opening the small fridge that was provided in the room, there were 24 macarons. I had them arranged by colour, blue for Ash, yellow for Clemont, pink for Bonnie, and last but not least, red for me. I pile all the sweet treats into the little brown basket with the lid that i've had for what seems like forever.

Looking again inside the small fridge, i pull out a few eggs, and some milk. A few drops of milk in a bowl with 3 eggs, and whisked together to make an egg-wash. I've decided to make this day very special for Ash. After all i want every day with him to be special like it always is, but, I want this one to be... different.

Getting some bread and a friable pan, i use that to make French Toast. About 8 pieces, coming out golden brown, and only making one a little crispy, but it's not too black, but who knows maybe Ash won't notice.

About ten minutes later, breakfast is ready with two glasses of Orange juice, french toast with powdered sugar drizzled and sprinkled on top, and a seat for Ash right next to me. I feel my cheeks redden at the thought of me doing this for Ash. I shake my head to get rid of the feeling but it doesn't bother me too much.
