A New Journey Begins!

Chapter 6: An Unwanted Challenger

{A/N Due to certain weather incidents, i.e, a huge hurricane, it has knocked me and my partner out of power and my computer without a charge, so i appreciate you all waiting for me to come back and updates should be back to normal this week with 2 to 3 updates. Thanks everybody and we love you!}

{Serena POV}

I finally want to tell him how I feel, but I don't know how to... Maybe Ash will like the surprise that I've got for him today, knowing people may have it's ups and downs, but it will be good to see these people again. They will be waiting for me at the 5 Star Lumiose Square Restaurant, I happen to have an open reservation for 4. Aria had given it to me for being a runner up in the Master Class. Im grateful and being that the amusement park is nearby, maybe today won't be so bad. Although I might have another surprise for him sooner or later... I want him to know exactly how I feel about him...

I slowly stir from my slumber, I wake up with a smile and my cheeks immediately heat up. I forgot I ended up cuddling with Ash the previous night. I tried to move but was immediately stopped by a small voice...

"P-Pikachu, Use your thunderbolt... Stop Team Rocket, we need to get... Serena back..." Mumbled Ash in his sleep.

He's dreaming about me?! Wow he must really care about me...

"Oh Ashy, if only you could see how cute you are when you are sleeping... Your just so adorable..." I say as I look up at him and run my hand through his already messy hair. Ill definitely admit, he looks a whole lot better when he doesn't have his hat on.

Another small stir from Ash and his eyes slowly flutter open. A small stretch, and an exhale.

I give a small giggle. "Goodmorning sleepy-head. Did you sleep well?" I ask with a smile on my face.

"It's morning already? Man... I wanted to sleep a little more." Ash said with a groan.

"Ash come on hurry up, we have to get to Lumiose City soon! I'm really excited and you've definitely got something coming for you." I say as I sit up wink at him.

"What is it? What could it be?" He asks.

"You'll have to wait and see Ash. As of right now, it's a surprise." I gave another giggle.

I left the tent to let Ash change, and I let out Braixen to discuss the plans for today, as she was helping me.

"Today is going to be great! Ash won't even know that we are going to regroup with Clemont and Bonnie! It's going to be so much fun!" I squealed lightly to the fox-like pokemon.

She clasped her paws together and gave me a bright smile. "Bra-Braixen!" she said.

Minutes later Ash is changed. He came out of the tent with his bag, and set it down by the campfire log. "So how far are we now?"

I turned my head towards him, trying to keep my excitement for today contained.

"We're about a mile and a half away, we can get there just before noon if we hurry."

"Well i'm glad that we woke up a little early, the sun is just rising, and my watch says it's about 8 o'clock, so if we get to walking now, we should get there soon at a slow and steady walk." He said.

After shortly packing up, with the tent over Ash's shoulder, he insisted that he take it. He's so kind, and that's another reason that I love him. I find myself heating up again, and covering my face with my hair again.

Soon I'll be able to tell him how i feel, and maybe that will knock some sense into him. I find myself staring at him while we walk towards the Lumiose City so we can go to the Café. Ash doesn't know why or where we are going in Lumiose City. I did tell him that I really wanted to go there, and he told me that sounded like a great idea!
