Part 19

In your mind

You wake up to an empty bed. You get up out of the bed and walk into the living room to go find your "husband" Castiel. You see him standing in the living room, examining the pictures of you guys on the wall. You creep up to him and wrap your arms around him. He tenses and turns to face you, his face unreadable. 

"y/n" he croaks, he hugs you tightly. 

"hey cassy" you say hugging him back.

He releases and faces you, tears start prickling his eyes, "I missed you so much" he says.

You laugh a little, "Cas, I appreciate the love, but you saw me last night goober" you raise your arm up to his hair and mess it up.

He shakes his head back and forth slowly, "no, no you didn't y/n" 

You laugh more nervously this time, "Cas what are you talking about, you fell asleep next to me" 

"y/n, this isn't real, your in a coma" he says.

You back up into the wall and try to comprehend what he is telling you now. 

"look at me" he says, you keep staring at the ground "y/n look at me" he says softly.

You raise your head and eyes slowly 'till your gaze meets his. "y/n, I left to go deal with angel business, I left you with Sam and Dean in the bunker. Gabriel told me that they left you at the bunker because they were going on a hunt. Demons came and got you, and they tortured you, then Gabriel saved you, well tried to save you as much as he could" 

You start to get flash backs as he's explaining what happened to you. You remember the demons who grabbed you from the bunker, you also remember Amon hitting you over and over until you got saved by Gabriel, you remember talking to Gabriel at the hospital on the bed.. That's all you remember.

You look up at Cas, "Cas" you mumble. He smiles shyly and embraces you tightly. Your face is nuzzled in the crook of his neck and some what his collar bone. 

You pull away, "how do I get out of here?" you ask. 

"maybe I can try to take you with me, when I leave your head" he says. 

"okay"

He holds you then flashes out.

Castiel looks down at you in the hospital bed, your eyes are shut. "no" he mumbles, he brings his head down to yours and touches his forehead to yours. 

He opens his eyes to see that your eyes are moving rapidly back and forth (nystagmus if you were wondering) He backs up and stares at you. "Doctor!!" he yells out. Many nurses and interns flood in two doctors follow right behind. 

"is she okay?" he asks. 

A nurse comes in, "She looks fine but I'm going to need you to step out"

"wait, no why?"

"sir, please just wait outside" 

"No, I'm not leaving-"

"Sir, please"

"Cas" Dean says grabbing Castiel's shoulder, Castiel turns and slowly walks out of the room following behind Dean. They walk into the waiting area, Gabriel and Sam get up once they see them. 

"Hey, Cas did it work" Sam asks.

"yes, I was able to see her in her mind, and I did tell her what was going on, but I don't know if she's going to be able to come out of this" Castiel says. 

"Hey man don't say that, y/n is tough, she can handle it, she'll come out.. Just watch" Dean says patting Castiel's shoulder.

"Yeah, I hope so" 

"Lets stop talking about this and just think about good thing, huh?" Gabriel says. 

"yeah.. okay" Castiel says. They all sit together on the couch in the waiting room. No one knows what to say, so its just complete silence other than the people in the hospital.

For thirty minutes the four boys sit in silence, looking at each other when the other one is not looking. Exchanging awkward glances. They all feel so bad about it, like it was there fault this happened to you. But little did they know, it was non of their faults, it just happened. Nothing they could have done about it. 

Another awkward 30-45 minutes pass, then the doctor comes in. "Castiel" the doctor calls out. All of them stand to face the doctor, Castiel walks up to the doctor first and the rest follow. 

"is she okay?" Castiel asks. 

"Come with me" the doctor cocking his head towards your room. 

The doctor leads them to your room and stops and waits at the door as they all walk in. They all turn towards him and shoot him a confusing look. The doctor smiles softly showing no teeth. "She should be waking up soon. I have no idea how she awake or anything, all I know is that she should wake up very soon" 

"Oh thank you!" Castiel says running up to the doctor and giving him a hug, the doctor hugs back. Castiel lets go and runs up to your side and holds your hand. 

The doctor lets himself out and shuts the door to give you all privacy. 

Sam, Dean, and Gabriel all stand around you and Castiel. But stares at you.

Castiel holds your hand tightly and stares at your face, and into your eyes even though they're shut. He knows exactly what your eyes look like, he knows them by heart.

Suddenly your eyes start moving, like they want to open. Castiel holds your hand tighter and moves in closer. 

Your eyes twitch more and more. 

Then suddenly they burst open.
