First day of school

I'm never very happy with the first day of school but today it's my and Daniel's first anniversary so I don't care about it, I'm kinda happy, actually.
My mom call me for breakfast and I'm starting to get a little nervous because I had to tell her that I'm gonna miss dinner because of Daniel and she still doesn't like him very much.
I seat down on the kitchen table and I have no idea how I'm going to tell her about it without make her mad early in the morning so I decided to ask my dad.
"Daddy, can I ask you something?" I was a little nervous.
"Yes sure hunny. Why are you whispering?"
"I don't want mom to hear us. Listen, today is my and Daniel's first anniversary and... "
" Oh congratulations!"
"Yeah thanks. And he ask me to have dinner with him..."
"Oh, I see..."
"Yeah! So can I?"
"If it was just up to me, yes sure you can go but how about your mother? You know what she thinks about Daniel sweety."
"About that..."
"No no no no, absolutely not!"
"Come on daddy pls! I can't tell her myself!"
"And you think I can?!"
"She may let me go if you ask her." I say using my puppy eyes to convince him.
"Oh God, okay fine I will."
Always works. I thought to myself.
"Yeyyyy! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
On the way for school I told Daniel the favor my dad was doing for me and we had a conversation on the reason my mother never liked him and the hope we had on my father to change my mom's mind and let me go tonight.
He said he has a big suprise for me what makes me super excited!
During Spanish class I told Emma that me and Daniel are spending the evening together and that he has a surprise for me. She was excited for us and I was too.
After lunch I went to the local mall to buy a gift for Daniel. Once I get that I realize that I have no idea what to buy so I just walk around the mall to see if anything would be the perfect gift.
I walk around and suddenly I see just the perfect dress to wear tonight. It's the one. It's red like the wine, my favorite color, and it is a bit short. So perfect, so beautiful... So I couldn't resist and I buy it.

Now I just have to find the gift for Daniel.
Almost an hour went by and I was still in the mall trying to find the perfect present. I walk into a store and start looking around and then I see what just to give him. Finally I have his present! And I'm sure he is going to love it.
When I walk out of the store, my phone ringed. I grab it and I see it's a text from my father.
" Sweetie it's all good. You can go tonight. Have fun!"
I just wanna jump and scream and OMG!
I text back to my father very fast:
"Omg thank you so much daddy!! 🙌😘"
With this text message I run home.
'This day just keeps getting better!'
I take a long shower and then I start to do my hair and makeup and put my new dress on.
