Killian Jones is a guy that carries a lot of pain.
He is strong enough to not let it show in public. He has 17 years old and lives with his older brother Liam and his little sister Chloe.
They use to live in Ireland but since their parents died in an car accident they couldn't bare with the pain of leaving in the same house, the same town even the same country, so they decided to move to the USA, in Maine, Storybrooke.
Liam took their custody after the accident, since he was 22 years old.
Chloe was only 8 and didn't understand so well what had happened, so both Liam and Killian always tried to make her happy and don't show her that they were broken.
Liam had found a job at the docks fixing, rebuilding or even building bots since their father had that kind of part time job and he had tough Liam since he was a kid.
They lived in a small house but big enough for all of them. It was a nice, welcoming and cosy one.

"So, Chloe, are you excited for your first day of school tomorrow?" Liam asked Chloe.
"No, I'm scared."
"Scared? Of what lady bug?" Liam asked confused since Chloe always liked school.
"What if they don't like me? What if they are mean?"
"Oh, well you don't have to worry about that, people here are very nice. You've heard Grannys saying that the school is a very good one, I'm sure the kids are really excited to meet you." Liam said trying to calm her and comfort her.
"What if they get scared or make fun of me because of my scar? What if I don't make friends because of it?"
Yes, Chloe has a big scar on her right cheek. She was in the accident with her parents but luckily she didn't die like their parents, the only thing that she got from that was the scar.
Liam and Killian were very worried that kids would make fun of her because of that scar but for their surprise back in Ireland the kids from her school were very understandable and they didn't care about that scar. But here, in Storybrooke, things are different. They are new here no-one knows about their story, no-one knows about how she made that scar, so Liam and Killian knew that for this firsts times things would be difficult.
"Lady bug, you don't need to worry just trust me that everything will be okay. You will have tons of friends and they will see you as who you are and not your scar." Liam said.
"Okay... What about you Killian? Are you excited for tomorrow? Or you're afraid like me?" Chloe asked Killian.
"What?"
Killian was a little distracted. In fact he was scared for tomorrow but like always he didn't show his true feelings to her or anyone.
"No I'm super excited for tomorrow! It will be really fun, you'll see. You just have to walk in with a huge smile on your face and don't care for your scar, although I think you are really beautiful with it. It makes who you are and plus it makes you unique and special."
