Chapter 4: The Lot

                         Chapter 4

Max and I went for a walk. We went to The Lot, I haven't been there ever since my mom died. She had cancer in her breast. My mom died when I was 14 and now I'm 16.

I mostly went there to think or get my mind off of things. My dad left me Max and my mom gave me a necklace that says, "forever and always". I have a little something from both of my parents which I thought was sweet. If you're wondering " Do you miss them" ? Of course I miss them, so much to be exact. I basically grew up by myself without any siblings.

I sat with Max as I grabbed my bag, took out a blanket because tonight was chilly, along with a book. It was my mother's favorite and it's mine too. "Dreamland" I started to read.

I heard some footsteps and I got my book with my blanket and told Max to follow me and he did.

I saw a person, it was the boy in my school, in my English class and he was there alone. It was Michael.

I had trying to walk backwards but then Max barked and went over to Michael.

"Is somebody there?" he asked and I knew I couldn't move and plus how would I get Max. "Shit" I whispered to myself. So I stepped out and then he saw me.

"Is this your dog?" he asked.

I was speechless and he hasn't complimented me or anything and I nodded like an idiot because for some reason I don't talk infront of the really cute guys.

"What are you doing here?" he asked while taking off his jacket. Damn, he was so cute!

"U-I-uhm j-just here, what about you?" I stuttered, trying to say any human word out of me. That's when I mentally palmed myself in the face. I'm such an idiot, oh god.

"I'm meetimg someone here" he said as he glanced back at me.

I heard that he was going to meet someone. He was going to meet up with the one and only Hayley. Hayley Brandon.

"Uhh, I'm gonna go..." I said taking my feet with me.
