"W-what do you mean Jayden?" I asked, feeling a bit nervous. I had no idea what he was even going to say. Did he kill innocents? He then cleared his throat. "Damian, listen to me. I had to do what I could. I couldn't just let them kill you." I tilted my head in confusion. I wondered what he exactly meant by that.

"Kill me?"

"Yes." He nodded, "The others had blamed you for the attack. They thought you were attracting the horde." He shook his head, "I couldn't let them hurt you. So.... I took the gun that was in my hands and I killed them. They didn't even get a chance to fight back." He looked down as if he were upset by the matter. I still couldn't believe him, what he did was wrong.

"Why Jayden!?" I yelled at him as I stood up. "You should've let them kill me, I'd rather be dead than have a bunch of good people killed!"

Jayden stood up as well, "Of course if they wanted you dead I don't think they're exactly 'good people' besides, I'd rather have you alive than them.. You at least seem useful-" He stopped mid sentence, looking like he had regretted saying that. He then sat down. "I did what I thought was right-"

"Well it wasn't." I said, stating my case. I felt cold hearted for saying that, but it was true. Although I may have greatly disapproved of Jayden's actions, I'd rather have some psychopathic murderer than be alone during this apocalypse. I sat down looking away from the other male, I released a heavy sigh before looking at him. "Just- next time please think harder on what's really right before jumping into action."

"Yeah..." he said staring at me with his emerald eyes.

A gunshot could be heard from outside. As me and Jayden both rose to our feet, we could hear laughing. Although the voice sounded familiar... I looked at Jayden, "W-what do we do?" I said to him, feeling a bit panicked. He then walked to the light switch, "We don't want to attract any attention. Like moths to a flame, other survivors will be looking for places to make base and raid." He said before glancing out the window.

"Ha! You think you can run away from us?!" I heard the familiar voice of a male.

"P-please just let me go!" A woman yelled.

"Pfffft! How about let's play a game!"Just l-let me go!"

"This should be fun!" another male said, he honestly sounded British. I don't know why, but I just had to point that out.

"We'll give you thirty seconds to hide, if we find you; well, we'll kill you. If you manage to stay hidden for a full hour we will simply give up on you." The familiar started up again.

"Like hide and seek!" The Brit said, pretty excitingly, if I made add.

"A-alright..." the woman said. At this moment I could only assume she took off running.

"One....Two....Threeeeeee." The familiar said, before firing the gun, causing me and Jayden to jump. I covered my mouth with my hand.. "Oh my God..." I whispered to myself. The two men were laughing hysterically.

"DID YOU SEE HER HEAD!?" The man with the accent yelled, holding back laughter. "IT WENT KAPLOOWIE!" He said before laughing again.

"What is wrong with these people? " Jayden whispered to himself. ALthough he wasn't innocent, at least he had a reason for his murder.

"Hey maybe we should rest up at that Gas Station over there." The familiar said.

Jayden looked at me before ducking underneath the window and grabbing the sniper rifle he had acquired. I crouched down low and grabbed the wakizashi and looking up at him. "They'll be coming through the front, sneak out the back and flank them." He said while loading the rifle. I simply nodded at him and made my way to the back door, opening it as quietly as possible.
