"What took you so long?!" Joshua called out, getting a giggle from the brunet as he leveled to the red head with a happy glint his eyes beautiful, doe-eyes.
"I had to fluff up the fluff." Tyler ran a dainty hand through the chocolate curls before leaning on his tippy-toes, and slowly back to height as the brunet leaned back. "Make them look good for my handsome morning date."
"Oh, and who's this handsome date we're talking about, Tyler?"
The cherry cheek boy looked down, kicking the sand as he stared where his shoe landed before eyeing the red head with teasing eyes. "He's very gorgeous, red dyed hair, a nose piercing, and some sick, punk looking gauges. Oh, and he has a beautiful laugh."
Joshua crossed his arms, bumping lightly into Tyler, who giggled with certainty. "Seems like a catch, good luck with your beautiful laughing, red headed punk."
And Tyler slowly, but easily skipped forward, hand wrapping around Joshua's arm oh-so-very delicately as he leaned his chin against the red head punk's shoulder. "Hey, the red head punk is a good catch."
Joshua couldn't help it, he knew he couldn't resist those eyes, his hand seemed to find it's way under the brunet's chin, his lips finding Tyler's nose, and the grin on the younger's boy's reassured him before the internal ache in chest.
"We have a view to see, no more kisses before you take me on our first date, Joshua."
And the teasing tone caused the red head to chuckle, pulling the brunet along with him as he guided them along the sand path that led up to the trail.
"You're gonna love this view, Tyler, it's incredibly gorgeous."
"Am I now? Is the view gonna be incredibly gorgeous as you?" Tyler grinned, pacing himself for Josh's reaction, which he succeeded by a small embarrassing laugh.
"Maybe not as gorgeous as me, but as beautiful as you." Joshua countered back, giving Tyler his shark-like smile, and pulling the brunet closer by connecting their warm hands.
The heat calmed them as they reached the higher park of the path.
Peaking the beautiful sunrise, the relished in the salty smell of the ocean, crashing upon the rocks of Bodega Bay. The seagulls flocking loudly above them, and the cold serenity against the warmth of their skin. It felt as if they were free amongst the air, and the bones that held them together were at peace once their gazes connected to one another.
Blushing cheeks into a heaven, and Joshua pulled Tyler closer.
"So, what brought you out here, Ty?"
The red never prevailed as they found a bench that sat towards the cliff, but not too close to where they could kick their feet off into the clouds, just enough to feel it between the tips of their toes.
"Friends thought it would be fun as a last hoorah before college."
Joshua seemed to lighten up after that, leaning in with a gentle push to Tyler's small shoulder, their hands tight in Joshua's lap.
"My friends too, thought it would be a great idea to come out to get high before college. We're camping in the Dune's area."
