Part 1: A Mother and a Cat

     Gempe was a samurai who lived with his mother in a village.They had been keeping a cat as their pet for years.

     One day, the cat went missing.

     The cat's disappearance was then followed by his mother's odd behaviour. Bending her body, she hid herself in the corner of the room and behind the folding screen. In such hidden corner she enjoyed her meals, ingnoring all visitors who came to see her.

    To make sure his mother was in good health, Genpe peeped through the folding screen to find out what was really going on.

    What he saw was really terrifying....
