"Come on Matt! Steel Samurai is on!" I yelled. The young brunette boy ran into the living room with some food. I turned on the TV. Matt and I both love the Steel Samurai series. Every week, a new episode comes out. Matt and I always watch it together.
(After the episode)
"Wow! That was a great episode!!" Mat exclaimed. He jumped up into a ninja-like position. "I am the Steel Samurai, and I fight for what is right! Beware evildoers, for I will crush you!!" He bowed. I laughed.

You know? You would be really good at acting!" I said. He blushed.

"I'm not that good." He smiled.

"Yeah you are! I wouldn't be surprised if you became an actor at this age!" I said. He blushed even more.

"Thanks! You know what? I think I might become an actor just because you said that." He giggled. I smiled back.
(A few years later)

By this time, Matt and I had both escalated up to Middle School. At this point in time, Signal Samurai had ended around about a year ago. A new series took it's place last week in the form of the Steel Samurai. I ran down the halls to get to my next class. On the way there, I bumped into a certain brunette. I bumped into him and dropped all my stuff.

"Ah! Watch where you're going!" He yelled. He looked up. "Oh, it's just you."

"What do you mean "It's just me"?" I glared. He laughed.

"Here, let me help you out." As he was picking up my books, he noticed a certain math book. "Oh, you're in his class too Sara?"

"Yup. What about it?"

"Maybe you could help me out with the homework?" He asked.

"Sure! And afterwards we can watch the Steel Samurai together!" He flinched and put his hand over my mouth.

"Hush up about that! I don't want anyone knowing I still watch that show!" He slowly took his hand off my mouth.

"What is it, cool guy? You embarrassed of watching the Steel Samurai?!" I giggled.

"Whatever." He folded his arms and blushed. I ruffled his hair and stood up. "Well, see you later!"
(After school and doing homework)

After doing our homework, we sat down to watch the Steel Samurai, all the while letting our inner nerds be released. Of course, my Mom heard us. but she didn't really care. After the episode, we were both exhausted from screaming so much.

"Hey Sara." Matt said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"You remember what you said back when we were kids? The thing about me being an actor?"

"Yeah."

"Well, my Mom enrolled me in acting classes, so...." My eyes widened.

"Good job! I really do hope you become an actor someday!" I exclaimed.

"Hehe.." He laughed slightly. He looked up at the clock. "Well, I guess I better get going."

I nodded. "Ok, bye Matt." He stood up and walked out of the door.
(A few more years later)

Matt and I were walking home together from school. It's been quite a few years now, and were both in our senior year of High School. We were walking home to Matt's house when I heard a rustle in the bushes. I turned around.

"What was that?!" I yelled.

"What was what?" He asked. I looked around, but saw nothing.

"It's nothing. It was probably just a squirrel." Matt shrugged and we continued walking until we reached his house. We went inside and sat on the couch. "Hey Matt, I'm gonna head to the restroom real quick, okay?" He nodded. I went inside and came back out in a flash. When I came back to the couch area, he wasn't there.

"Hm, I'm sure he was here when I left. I'm going to go search for him." I looked all around the house, but couldn't find him. "Matt! Matt! Matt where are you?! Matt!" I yelled. "Where in the world could he be?" Just then, I heard a sound coming from his mom's room. I turned around. "Matt?" I slowly opened the door. "Matt, you in the-" I stopped mid-sentence, dure to the sight of a dead body, with Matt sitting right in front of it.

"Mom!" Matt cried. I gasped.

"That's his mom lying there?! No way! She can't be dead!" Matt turned to face me, tears flowing down his face. In the corner of my eye, I saw blood on his hands with a knife near him. I stepped back in fright. " No way! Did he kill her?!" He looked at the knife.

"No! It wasn't me! I didn't do it!" He yelled. I looked into his eyes. I calmed down a bit. "Of course, he wouldn't do that. It's his own mom. And besides, he would never kill anyone, no matter who. I don't know why I ever thought it was him!" I took a deep breath to calm down.

"Okay, Matt I believe you. You stay here! I'll call the police, okay?" He nodded. I ran off to find the closest phone. "Excuse me, police?! Come quick!! A murder has taken place here!!"

"We're coming! Where is this supposed murder?!" The police asked. I gave them the address and the came right away. In around ten minutes. Once they arrived, they took the body away and outlined the area where the body was found. There were a bunch of detectives around the place looking for clues. One detective came up to us with a fingerprint scanner.

"Can I scan both of your fingerprints?" He asked. He scanned both of our prints. After scanning Matt's, his eyes widened.

"Hey Gumshoe! Found anything?" One of the detectives asked.

"It seems like we've found our suspect!" He grabbed Matt's wrist and stood up. "Matt Engarde! You're under arrest! You're comin' down to the precinct with me pal!" As he was taking Matt away, I grabbed his wrist tightly. "Ow! Hey, what's the big idea, kid!"

"Matt's not a murderer!! Let him go!" I yelled.

"Sorry kid, but we got hard evidence that says he did it." Gumshoe said.

"Show me then! Show me that proof! I know Matt wouldn't kill anyone!!" Gumshoe held up the bloody knife.

"See this knife? It has fingerprints on it. And those prints match those of your friend here. Got it?" I gasped in shock of all the evidence they had. I couldn't say anything. "Come on, don't give me that look." Gumshoe said. "Look I'll give you some advice. If you truly believe he's innocent, I suggest you hire a lawyer. Otherwise, the state will choose one for you." My eyes lit up. After that, Detective Gumshoe proceeded to take Matt out of the room.

HOLD IT!

"Don't worry Matt!! I will get you acquitted of this crime!! I promise!!" They suddenly stopped, and Matt turned to look at me. He smiled.

"Sara...thank you." He said. Then they continued to walk out of the room.
