I sat in front of my computer, sulking as to what just happened. "Arrgh! I said I would get a lawyer for him, but where am I going to find one?! I've been looking all over the internet, but nothing!" I sighed. "Ugh, maybe I just need some fresh air." I put on my coat and went outside for a walk. I was still scarred by what happened that I wasn't looking where I was going. I bumped into someone and she fell.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?!" I asked.

"Yes, I'm fine." She said. I finally got a good look at her. She had long brown hair with bangs on the left side of her face. She wore a yellow scarf and fancy brown clothing. It was strange to see someone walking around like this.

"What's up with your clothes? I don't usually see people wear classy clothes in the middle of spring."

"Oh, I'm a lawyer. My name is Mia Fey." My eyes widened at the statement.

"Wait, you're a lawyer?!"

"Yes.."

"Please! You have to help me!" I begged.

"Um, I'll help you, but only if you tell me about the case." She replied.

"Okay!" We sat down on a nearby bench, and I told her about what happened. We sat there for a little while as she thought the case over.

She sighed, "I'm sorry, but I don't think I can take your case."

"What?!"

"But I know you can!" We sat there in silence.

"WHAT?!" I yelled. "I'm not a defense attorney, and I haven't even gone to law school!"

"I'll teach you." She winked.

"Are you sure you can teach me how to be a lawyer and conduct an investigation for the case in one day?" I asked.

"Yup! In fact it won't even take half a day to teach you about the law." She replied.

"Well....if you say so. I'll do it!" I said. She jumped up in joy.

"Yay! Come on! Let's get to the courthouse, and get you your very own lawyer badge!" She grabbed my hand and we ran to the courthouse. She substituted an attorney petition for me. Despite a few doubts, they gave me my very own attorney badge. (AN: I don't care about the bar exam. This isn't physically possible, but whatever.) Mia then proceeded to teach me about the law and how court works. She even taught me some of her lawyering techniques. After a few hours, we decided to start the investigation.

"Okay, so what do we do first?" I asked eagerly.

"I think it's best to meet our client for this case. Let's head down to the detention center." I nodded. We went down to the detention center to get some information out of Matt about the murder. We went into the meeting area and sat down. As I usually do when I'm nervous, I started tapping my fingers on my knees. Mia put her hand on mine.

"It's okay. Don't be nervous. I'm here with you." She said. I nodded. Just then, a guard came in with Matt. As soon as he saw me, he broke out of the guard's grasp and ran over to me.

"Sara! Oh my god! Are you okay?!" He asked.

"I'm fine, I should be the one asking you that!"

"Oh yeah! I'm great! Doing just great!" He said. I wasn't convinced.

"Come on, Matt. That's a fake smile you've got. I know you're nervous." I said. He laughed slightly.

"Haha, I guess I can't fool around with you. Oh, and who's this?" He looked at Mia.

"Mia Fey: Attorney at Law. Nice to meet you!" She greeted.

"Oh! So is she my super awesome lawyer?" He asked. I flinched. I turned to Mia, and she nudged her head towards him, as if she was saying: "Go on, tell him!" I sighed.

"Actually, this is kind of a long story, but I'm your lawyer." Matt stated at you wide-eyed trying to process this information he was given.

"Wait...but....you're not a lawyer, are you?" Matt asked. Mia nudged my arm.

"I've got an idea. Flash your attorney's badge at him and yell "Take That!""

"Okay..." I took out my attorney's badge and flashed it in his face. "TAKE THAT!"

"Woah, that's the real deal. So you really are a lawyer now." I nodded. "That's so cool!" I blushed. "Ask me anything. I'll tell you everything I know."

"Alright. Let's start with this. Can you tell us any info about the crime?"

"Okay. Well, as I said to you, I had to go to the restroom. On the way there, I saw my mother laying there, dead."

"How did you know she was dead?"

"There was a knife sticking out of her chest, and blood spurting out of the wound. I took the knife out of her chest, and felt her to see if she was still alive."

"You took the knife out of her chest!?"

"Yeah."

"That's tampering with the crime scene! Don't you know how dangerous that is?!"

"Oh. You're not supposed to do that. Oops!" He laughed.

I sighed. "Whatever, go on."

"I took my gloves off before I felt her body. I'm guessing they're still there. If you could get them for me, that would be awesome."

"Sure! Wait.. you had gloves on?"

"Yeah, after I took the knife out, I took them off."

"But that doesn't make any sense! If you had gloves on...then it shouldn't have left any fingerprints!" Matt gasped and so did Mia.

"You're right!" Matt exclaimed.

"Even I didn't notice!" Mia exclaimed.

"Then why did that guy arrest me? He said my fingerprints were on the knife."

"I don't know." I stood up and slammed my hands on the desk. "But I'm going to find out. I'm going to the crime scene!" I yelled.

"Hope you find some super awesome evidence!" Matt called. I nodded and headed towards the crime scene.
