"I can't believe what was happening I was getting ready to go on a date and Micheal freaking Clifford texted me the big red dog texted me!" I freaked out to my best friend forgetting to breath so I had to take a long breath and sit down after talking so I wouldn't pass out.
"Kelly, calm down I don't want you to have a panic attack or something."Hannah said sitting next to me and rubbing my back.
"Thank you, Hannah you're right I should try to be calm." I said breathing slowly,"I should just focus on the date tonight." after finishing my sentence I felt my phone buzz and I had gotten a text from Nick saying he was downstairs to pick me up. I stood up and took a deep breath preparing myself as I looked at my best friend, " I think I'm ready."
"Well off you go then." Hannah said as she gave my butt a little tap sending me out the door. I closed the door and walked down the hallway texting Nick back that I was walking down. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest I can't believe I'm actually going on a date. Maybe I shouldn't do this I thought maybe I should turn around but then when I was at the door I saw Nick and knew I couldn't turn back now.
"You look breath taking." Nick said as he opened the door for me.
"Thank you." I responded as my cheeks started to get warmer, "So you never told me where we were going." I said trying to change the subject so I would get less embarrassed.
"It's a surprise just trust me." Nick said grabbing my hand and taking me down a pathway.
"Okay."I responded nervously as I saw the path had a power chord next to it, "What is that for?" I asked.
"You'll see." Nick responded. Then I saw the path turn up to a hill. "Are we going up there." I asked just wanting to know what was going on.
"Why do you need to know everything." Nick joked.
"I'm a scorpio it's in my nature." We both laughed. When we got to the top of the hill I finally saw what the power cords were connected to. It was so beautiful there were fair lights everywhere a panic basket and a record player playing Have Mercy one of my favorite bands (A/N I'm not sure if they actually have vinyls just go along with it) I stood there for awhile just taking it in. I couldn't believe someone would do this for me.
"Do you like it." Nick asked with a little bit of worry in his tone I'm assuming because I wasn't talking.
"Are you kidding I love it." I said giving him a big hug and kiss on the cheek. As I hugged Nick I felt his body relax under me.
"I'm glad." Nick Beamed. We both sat down and he pulled out some sprite, "Since we can't have champagne." He said in a fake posh accent as he poured me a glass in a champagne glass.
"oh, why thank you." I tried to return his posh accent but failing as I giggled. He then pulled out some food and we both ate and talked all night about everything and nothing all at once. After we put our plates aside we laid next to each other to watch the stars. I then felt his hand around my shoulder and I scooted closer to him then laid my head on his chest. Before I knew it I had passed out and was awoken to the sun and nick moving beneath me. "What time is it?" I said stretching, "I can't believe we both fell asleep."
"It's 7 in the morning. And me to but last night was fun I loved talking to you." Nick said sitting up, "I wanna do this again sometime soon."
"I would like that a lot." I said as I stood up smiling helping him put everything in the picnic basket.
As we were walking down the hill he asked me, "Do you want to get coffee or some breakfast but change into our pajamas first?"
"Oh my gosh I would love that so much." I said with so much happiness and I started to run to my dorm. "Meet me outside my dorm in 15 minutes or less." I said leaving Nick alone laughing at me running like a 5 year old. "Also don't laugh at me." I yelled
"You're so adorable though it's hard not to." He responded as my cheeks heated up and I ran into my building.
