"So what's your name?" Cherry asked the boy closest to her.
"Ponyboy Curtis"
"That's an original and lovely name" Cherry responded, smiling sweetly.
"My dad was an original person" Ponyboy continued
"I've got a brother named Sodapop, it says so on his birth certificate".
The greaser, Ponyboy was quite a looker. Even if he was only fourteen.
Ponyboy's friend introduced himself as Johnny. Marcia and Cherry kept up a conversation with Ponyboy and Johnny, but I could only think of Dally. I thought about Dallas' effect on me, and how I acted completely different around him. I turned into one of the girls at my high school around him, all wide eyed and snooty. Shoot I had only spoken to Dally for a maximum of two minutes, what's wrong with you Lori?
My thoughts were interrupted when I saw a pair of big combat boots stood stiffly in front of me. I scoped my eyes up the figure, and it was Dally. Dally had his hand out towards me, with his long, beautiful fingers wrapped around a paper cup full of coke. Dally was wearing a smirk on his perfectly sculptured face. I had come to think of Dallas' smirk as his signature facial expression.
As soon as I realized I was staring, Dally let out a small laugh, as he placed the cup of brown liquid in my shaking hands.
"You're crazy about me" Dally said is his deep husky voice, smirking and eyeing my face up and down.
Oh god, was it really that obvious? If Dally had noticed, I'm pretty sure Cherry and Marcia, and Johnny and Ponyboy had realized as well.
I turned my head around to Marcia to hide my flushed cheeks. But Dally sat down next to Marcia, so I could see him easily.
I turned to Cherry, hoping for her to calm my nerves. Cherry was deep in conversation with Ponyboy, I looked beyond Ponyboy, and saw Johnny was just staring at the giant screen, his eyes set on the movie, sipping his coke from a red straw. I thought that's what I should be doing, watching the movie, instead of drooling over some tough greaser.
Cherry turned to me,
"Lori, I think we should be heading off, you look exhausted". Cherry exclaimed, I nodded at her, not really being able form words out of my mouth. Cherry stood up from her blue plastic seat, motioning to Marcia to do the same. Dally seemed to notice our sudden desire to leave,
"Awe, c'mon ladies, the movie ain't even over yet!" said Dally, pleading. I followed Dally's gaze, and I saw that his eyes were set on Cherry's. I felt a pang of jealousy rush through my body.
I smiled through the pain, and smoothed out the wrinkles in my denim skirt. I picked my bag up off the floor next to my chair, and started heading to the exit of the crouded Nightly Double. Cherry and Marcia jogged up beside me, and we strided to the exit. I could hear Dally whine, and I stupidly decided to turn back. Dally noticed me, and smirked at me.
"Yeah, see you soon sweetheart?" he said, winking at me.
God, did he know the effect he had on me?

I pulled my blazer around my numb body, the cold, night was getting to me. Cherry and Marcia had left to get on the bus at tenth, and I was walking down the side walk of the west side of town cautiously. It was quite late, maybe tennish, and I get a bit nervous out at night by myself.
Once I finally get to my front door I feel much better. I pully my hands out my pockets and fumbled in my bag for my front door keys. My hands finally grasped the cold metal and I pulled the keys out my brown bag. I unlocked the door and entered the warmth of my home, tossing my bag down in the hall, and saw my younger sister, Tammy perched on the kitchen counter.
Me and my younger sister had a sort of love hate relationship. Sometimes I just couldn't stick her, but she seemed in an OK mood, sitting eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
"Hey Lori" Tammy said, nonchalantly, still staring at her sandwich, as I walked into the kitchen, pulling my coat off my shoulders as I walked.
"Hey Tam, where are Mom and Dad?"
"Working" Tammy responded, as she hopped of the counter and padded over to the sink. She placed her empty plate into the sink and turned to face me.
"So, you were at the Nightly Double, right? With Cherry and Marcia?" Tammy inquired.
"Mmhhm" I replied, walking over to the fridge, and pulling out the sliced bread.
"Yeah, I was walking by with Hallie and we saw you with Dallas Winston!" Tammy said, raising her eyebrows at me.
Golly, had everyone noticed my crush on Dallas Winston?
I shrugged my shoulders, "Yeah he was just bothering us, you know, like greasers do". I lied, trying to hide the nervousness in my voice.
Tammy just raised her eyebrows at me, she did that a lot. I quickly scurried out of the kitchen and up to my bedroom. I slumped down on my large double bed and stared at the ceiling.
I can't have a crush on Dallas, I have a boyfriend for god's sake. I pulled my body up from the bed and walked over to my tall, body length mirror on the back of my door. Golly I was blushing, it was like my cheeks were a permanent rosy red since I first met Dallas Winston.
I picked up my pyjamas from on top of my dusty rose pillow, and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a shower.
Once I was in my bed, I pulled the covers up over my head, and my eyelids swamped my vision as I fell asleep, dreaming of Dallas Winston.
