I whipped out my phone and checked YouTube. My Bioshock Infinite video still had to be successfully uploaded. I smiled to myself, making my way down toward a cafe. A small cafe was a five minute walk from my place so there wasn't any difficulty in going there. The cafe wasn't usually busy so I made it the place to just lounge around or relax. The interior was a simple pastel blue and creamy beige color that covered all the walls and small abstract paintings adorned every corner of the place.
"One hot chocolate, please," Said a voice all the way from the counter. I had just walked in through the door, hoping to get a hot chocolate as well. My eyes widen. It wasn't because the man at the counter had just ordered hot chocolate and it definitely wasn't the fact that the man smiled straight at me as I walked in but it was because it was PewDiePie. The 20-million-subscribers PewDiePie.
"F-Felix?" I stutter at the sight. I felt my jaw hang loose. The famous YouTuber waved frantically at me. I've only seen him once over Skype but that was it. I'm glad he remembered me and my face.
"How's it goin', Cry?" He beamed, holding his hot chocolate in his hands. His blonde hair looked even more striking in real life and his blue eyes never left my face. He wore a light grey sweater and blue jeans with black Converse shoes.
"I'm doing good," I murmured as Felix took a seat facing a large window beside us. He turned his head to face me. "How about you?"
"I'm fine as well. Have a seat." He grinned. I ran to order hot chocolate and sat next to Felix. He just wouldn't stop smiling. We talked about his fast ascension to fame and how we choose carefully when buying new games. After an hour or so of chatting, Felix glanced at his watch.
"Well, I have to be going now," Felix heaved an unnecessarily loud sigh, "Marzia's waiting at our apartment. She's putting up a new video today with me in it!" He laughed once again and pulled out his phone, handing it to me. I tilted my head in confusion.
"What are you--"
"Gimme your number," He interrupted, "I don't wanna have to Skype you all the time!" Felix laughed. He was so energetic. Unlike him, I just kept to myself all the time. Was this one reason I felt so alone? I calmly grabbed his phone and pressed on Contacts. I clicked the 'Add' button and typed my phone number and name into the boxes displayed. Once I finished, I handed the phone back to Felix, who was grinning at me. I smiled sheepishly as I felt a vibration in my pocket. I snagged my phone out of my pocket to see one text message in my inbox. It was obviously Felix.
UNKNOWN NUMBER: Hey there, Cry! Don't forget to add me back!!! ;D
I quickly added him as a Contact with an awkward grin on my face. Looking up from my phone, I see that Felix had already left the cafe. Cash was jammed beneath his used foam cup on the table. I chuckled to myself silently. I had yet to truly befriend Felix.
