I'm Third Generation I've never seen Earth
Never set foot on solid ground before
Just the alloy and whatnot that built this ship
This ship that's taking us to a distant star system
And just like Earth, I'll never see that place either
It'll take a few generations, eleven they reckon
Means my grandkids grandkids grandkids'll die on this ship
Eventually though, mankind's gonna' get there
And build a brand new colony
The first step; spreading ourselves through the galaxy
But life on this ship well it ain't that bad
We've got fusball and fridges and paintball
And digitally stored the complete works of mankind
Keeps us entertained and educated
And I'd say outta' trouble but y'know... That ain't really true
