Chapter twenty.

Kai's POV

"Kai!!!!" I jolted when I saw Jessica, Krystal's sister; barging in my office.

"What are you doing here?"

"Krystal's sick." She sobbed suddenly.

I got shocked. Krystal? Sick?

Is she for real?

Jessica took a seat at the couch in my office.

"Where is she?"

I took a seat beside Jessica.

"She's at Turkey. She can't take a flight."

"And why is that?"

"She's critically sick. She needed you. She said she wanted to see you before she die."

"She's that critical?" I was dumbfounded. How can she be that sick? She was okay a month ago.

Jessica suddenly hollers with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Woah, calm down Jessica. I'll go and see her." Suddenly Jessica come closer and hug my waist.

My body stiffen. "I know you still love my sister and my sister loves you so much."

My voice stuck in my throat. What should I say?

After couple of seconds, I pat Jessica's back in a comforting way.

Maybe she's too sad because of Krystal's condition.

All of a sudden my office's door open.

"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING HERE?!" I saw Minji at the door with a super mad face.

I'm doomed.

"Explain, Kai. Now!" I gulp down my saliva when I heard Minji's authoritive voice.

"Err–" I couldn't say anything and I remain staring at Minji's whose already walking closer to where I am sitting.

"I'm done." My eyes almost roll out of the socket.

"Damn you, Jessica Jung." I shout at Jessica then run after Minji.

"Minji! Minji!" I call her name repeatedly.

Minji stop in her tracks. She turns around. "Why are doing this to me, Kai?"

I was shocked looking at Minji's tears smeared face.

I take small steps towards her. Minji seems to be in a reverie that she didn't notice I'm coming closer.

"I'm so sorry. That is not what you thought." I almost had an heart attack when she actually broken down bad.

"Why must you do that, Kai?" She whimpers.

"Shhh, it's just Jessica is so sad and I'm comforting her. Don't worry, I love you only."

Minji stopped crying then she face me. "Are you sure?"

I nod curtly. "Yes. So much." I almost gasp when Minji hug me tight. Like, real. Tight.

"Come, let's go home." I pull Minji gently towards the carpark.

"Cancel all my appointment and get Jessica out of my office right now. I'm taking the rest of the day off." I said on the line to my secretary.

"I'm going to cheer you up." I voice out with a smile towards Minji. I reach out for her hand then give it assuring squeeze.

Minji did the same thing to me.
