(a/n: I'm back and writing more GoT!!)

There was something familiar about the man standing in front of you. Something very familiar, but you couldn't place it. "I'm Y/N," you greeted, stretching out your hand. He smiled at you and replied, "I'm Rick. Nice to meet you, Y/N." He shook your hand and stared in your (e/c) eyes. He knew exactly who you were and, in all honesty, you knew him too. Or rather, you had. "It was nice meeting you, Rick and I look forward to working with you. I have to go meet with my fiancé now." You waved and left, leaving "Rick" alone.

"Rick" was actually Rickon Stark, the youngest Stark child and the brother of your fiancé. Rickon had gone missing many years before. Well, technically, he had gone off to find himself without a word, but that was neither here nor there in his mind. When you were younger, you had been best friends with Rickon and his brother Bran. The three of you did everything together and Rickon had fallen for you...hard. Unfortunately for Rickon, so had Bran. Now, all these years later, Rickon had a plan.

When Rickon first returned home and got a job where you worked, no one seemed to recognize him and he decided to use that to his advantage. He was going to make you fall in love with him. He planned to spend as much time with you as possible, showing you how much he stilled loved you. He was going to make you realize that you wanted him just as much as he wanted you. Part one was complete. On to part two. What he hadn't counted on was eventually being recognized.

*time skip*

The company barbecue had come around again and this time, it was being held at the home you shared with Bran. Rickon walked in and greeted you. "Hi, Rick. This is my fiancé, Bran Stark. Bran, this is my new friend at work, Rick," you told him, gesturing to the young man in the wheelchair beside you. Bran shook his brother's hand, studying his face carefully. Rickon held his breath, waiting for Bran to say anything, but he simply smiled and told Rickon to enjoy himself.

Later, you were in the kitchen, replenishing the drinks when a voice behind you made you jump. "Oh, Rick! You scared me." Rickon gave you a sheepish smile and apologized. His face grew red at the thought of what he was about to do. He'd planned everything out so carefully, until this point. Still, no going back now. Just as he was about to open his mouth, another voice rang out. "Rickon?!"

Without thinking, Rickon whipped his head around and came face to face with his brother. "It is you!" Rickon mentally slapped himself. "Rickon?" your tiny voice squeaked out. The youngest Stark bit his lip and nodded. "Where the hells have you been?!" you cried before throwing your arms around his shoulders. Bran looked on from his wheelchair. His expression was a mixture of relief and betrayal. "How could you, Rickon? First you leave without a word and then, you come back and don't say anything to your family? I looked for you for years!"

Rickon let you go and faced Bran. "Of course you did! Perfect son Bran! After our father died and then Robb, you were the one everyone always looked to. Not 'poor little Rickon'. Then, you decided to fall in love with our best friend and, just 'poor little Rickon's' luck, she chose you instead of me!" Rickon's fists where clenched at his side as all the anger and frustration from the years spilled out of his mouth. Your hand was pressed to your lips, suppressing a sob and Bran gazed at his brother, the tears rolling down his face.

The tension in the room was thick. All of you were sporting different looks of betrayal. "Why didn't you talk to us instead of running away? You were my best friend, Rickon! I loved you too. I may not have been in love with you, but I did love you," you said softly, placing a hand on his shoulder. Rickon shook it off. "Don't," he whispered before Bran finally spoke again. "Rickon, you are my brother. You come first. You didn't even bother to try. You simply ran off. Now you've come home and, according to Y/N and her coworkers, you've been flirting relentlessly. Let's talk about 'poor little Rickon' now."

"What kind of life could you give her?! You're stuck in that chair. You can't even give her children!" As usual, Rickon spoke without thinking and Bran's expression told him he had hit his brother where it hurt most. His disability. "Rickon!" you scolded, running Bran's side. "I'm alright. Go see to your guests," Bran said, putting on a fake smile for your benefit. You leaned down and kissed his cheek. "I love you," you whispered before leaving the room.

Bran'sdark eyes rounded on Rickon. "Listen, Rickon. I do not care what you sayto me. At least you are talking to me. However, if you EVER talk about myrelationship with Y/N like that again, I will find a way to hurt you."Rickon glared at him. As he turned away, Bran looked over his shoulder."You never gave her the chance to choose you, Rickon. You left us all, including her and now you've betrayed us all. Welcome home." Bran rolledout of the room. Rickon stood there in silence, realization dawning on him. Ashe thought, the angry boy Rickon had been since his father died slowlydisappeared and, in his place, stood a broken man. He watched you mingle withyour co-workers through the window. Now he understood. He had a lot of makingup to do, starting with his family. Maybe then, Bran could forgive hisbetrayal. U
