Kill Or Be Killed

"Wait, the guy died? You killed him?" Tyler asks pushing away from the couch as he looks to Mason after listening to his story. 

"He kept coming at me. He got in his head that I was sleeping with his girlfriend." Mason says holding his arms out in surrender as Tyler stands. 

"Well, were you?" Tyler asks.

"No. No. I wouldn't do that, he was my friend. He was drunk and attacked me. It was self-defense." 

Tyler nods his head lowering his voice as well, "And that triggered the curse."

Nodding his head Mason explains, "On every full moon, I lose control. If I don't sedate myself and chain myself down, I'll kill anything in my path. You have to be careful. All it takes is an accident, a car wreck. Any death at your hands and you'll have a lifetime of this. You don't want it Tyler, trust me." Tyler watches Mason thinking about the curse as Mason walks over to him, "All right. Where's the moonstone? A deal's a deal. I answered your questions."

"Um, yeah, I'm not sure but I'm guessing it's in here." Tyler walks over to the rug lying in the office, he pushes it over to reveal a loose floorboard, upon pulling it from the floor he shows Mason a hidden safe. Tyler unlocks it and lets Mason dig through. "My dad, he was very kooky about his hiding spots but I figured most of them out over the years. Are you gonna tell me what's so important about this rock or what?" Tyler asks.

"I told you, it's just something I want. Sentimental value." He says as he reaches around the safe looking for the moonstone.

"Yeah, I'm not really buying that. Why do you really want it?" Tyler pushes.

"Do you know where it is or not?" Mason yells throwing money back in the safe and looking to Tyler.

Tyler took a step back, "no, I figured it would be in here, man."

Elena and Jeremy were both standing in the bathroom, as Elena was brushing her hair Jeremy turned to her from putting his toothbrush up, "I can't believe Tyler Lockwood is a werewolf."

"We're not sure about that yet. The only thing we know for sure is that Mason Lockwood is." She says putting her brush down.

"It should be easy for us to figure it out." Jeremy wipes his mouth with a towel and glances over at his sister.

"There is no us. I said that I wouldn't keep things from you anymore. That doesn't mean that I want you involved in it." Elena says.

"By definition of being in this family, I'm involved."

"This is dangerous, Jeremy. You have to stay out of it, okay?"

"Alright. Just saying." He says surrendering.

Elena watches Jeremy walk into his room and close the door, sighing she turns the light off and walks into her own room going over to the closet. Pulling out her jacket she closes the door and jumps when she sees Stefan standing in the doorway. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." he smiles. 

Smiling Elena pushes the bedroom door closed pulling Stefan into her and kisses him, "Hi." She says pulling back from the kiss.

"Hey," Stefan responds as Elena pulls him towards the bed she tosses the jacket on the bed and turns back to Stefan hugging him. 

"Are you ready for today?" Stefan asks pushing some hair behind Elena's ear, she looks to the floor shaking her head.

"I hate fighting with you, even if it's fake." She mumbles.

"I know but if Katherine thinks that we are fighting, then she will think that she's winning and it keeps her from following through with her threats."
