The Time Of My Life!

Surprise!

"Beep, Beep, Beep" My alarm went off at 7:30a.m. Stretching wanting to go back to sleep. But then I remembered that it is my birthday and I get to go to the barn! I went into my large walk in closet and grabed my new riding pants I got from The Bridle Path Tack Shop( My Favourite Tack Shop in the World!) Then I grabed my Neon Green Polo Shirt and my Bright Pink Belt. As I ran out of my bedroom I remembered that I had to grab my wallet from the top of my dresser because my parents said that they were going to take me to the Tack Shop and get five things that I wanted. So I ran down stairs and my mom made me some Hashbrowns, Bacon, and Pancakes. My mom said  "Hurry up so we can go to the barn." My Mom owns a horse ( Poppy Seed A.K.A Poppy) I ran to the garage to grab my Tall Boots, then ran to the car,  and my mom said get in the back because Dad was coming. I was confused, my Dad never comes.

The barn was only 10 minutes down the road. My Dad pulled out the camera. Now I was really confused. I walked into the Barn, Elana was in the stall with a big ribbon around her neck. Krystal, My Mom, and My Dad yelled" Surprise". I knew this day would come. But I did not know it would come this early. Now I know what I want from the Tack Shop. I went into the Tack Room and grabed Elana's Bridle, Martingal, Saddle, Half Pad, and my Saddle Pad. I was so excited to ride her!

So I gave Elana a nice big brushing, then tacked her up. We walked into the arena. I tighted up her girth then pulled down the strruip leathers. I grabed the stool, then mounted. Praying that Elana would be good for me and not act up like she usally does.

Krystal entered the indoor arena, and tolled us to go into the rising-trot, Elana has the most comfortable trot and canter ever! Then instructed us to do a sitting trot from M-F. While Krystal was setting up the course for us to do she had us do some cantering, Elana was good, she only stop once. We did a little course, but nothing special happend while doing the course, but atleast Elana was good.

Once the lesson was over, we went out to Un-Tack and Brush her up. My Mom was paying for indoor board, so I put Elana in a stall beside Poppy, and then I went to put my tack away in my new locker put my mom said that she paid for a tack box to put my saddle, half pad,saddle,bridle,martigal and girth, until I a new saddle and girth because they are very old and I would like new tack for when I do shows with her.

As we left the drive I had that felling that all of this was a dream so I asked my mom " Was that a dream, because I never saw that coming." My Mom answered back quickly " No that was not a dream, but now we are going to the Tack Shop so you can get some things for Elana." The Tack Shop was not far away so we got there in no time.

As I entered the Tack shop, I ran striaght down stairs to get a saddle, and a girth. Getting both of those already cost $750.00, but the good thing was that my parents had lot's of money because they have very good jobs. Then I went back up to the top floor I remembered that I needed a blanket for her. So I grabed a size 60 and they had a bright blue blanket. Just what I wanted. So now that I got all of the things I need from downstairs, I went up-stairs to get a new bright blue halter and lead rope to match her Blanket. Once I finished shoppping we went to the cheque out. The total was $1,500.95. I was so thankful to have a great family. My Mom was talking to me about owning Elana. She said that I would be able to go to the barn every other day.
